Family vacation

We enjoyed our time together and found the property gave us all the space we needed . Will do this again.

Nice location, pictures were deceptive

We booked this place as a splurge for after we got married and while it is a beautiful spot, in the end we were very disappointed. As soon as we walked in, it smelled VERY musty and the entire basement section was hard to be in due to the smell. The listing should have also said the master bedroom (and the rooms without a bunkbed) were in the basement- we would not have booked this had we known that. Due to the smell we had to sleep upstairs and sleep in the bottom bunkbed- which was not comfortable and not what we paid hundreds of dollars a night for! Also, the photos of the living room were NOT of how the place is currently furnished, which we found deceptive as well. The couch in there now is a sectional missing the underneath piece, so they put a wooden box there instead that is a bit too high... making you fall backwards into the couch. Finally, we felt we were overcharged because there were things that were improperly and cheaply installed- such as loose floor boards, flooring by the entrance staircase that was not level (we both tripped on these) and the dock was super rickety and wobbly. One thing we did appreciate was the gated deck and fenced in area for our dog. We also enjoyed the fire pit and the wood and paper provided for that. We think this place would be perfect for a large group of young people to have a party at, so long as the owners air out the basement and perhaps add some sort of air fresheners.

Le lac et le spa sont merveilleux. L'endroit est calme et le chalet est confortable, belles chambres, beau salon, belle salle de bains et belle cuisine. Nous y retournerons possiblement. Par contre, nous apporterons nos oreillers.

Extérieur décevant

Nous pensions profiter d’avantage de l’extérieur directement au chalet en famille. Mais le manque d’entretien ne nous a pas permis d’envisager une journée tranquille au bord de l’eau. Le quai en mauvais état, accès à l’eau difficile, emplacement pour le feu de camp très peu accueillant. Nous avions réservé 4 nuits, mais nous sommes restés que 2! Durant les 2 jours passé dans les environs, nous sommes allés à la plage pour au moins profiter du beau temps et d’un plan d’eau, mais pas au chalet réservé et que nous avons payé malheureusement.

Satisfait!!

Notre séjour s’est très bien passé. Le propriétaire était très rapide à nous répondre en cas de besoin. Nous avons trouvé l’endroit plus beau qu’en photo! Nous avions remarqué quelques défauts cités par d’autres visiteurs venus il y a quelques mois, et tout semble avoir été rectifié car je n’ai rien vu de ces défauts durent notre séjour. À part quelques épices pour cuisiner, tout est là et à portée de main. Très beau coin de pays. Je n’hésiterais pas à revenir.

Endroit idéal pour une famille

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour dans le chalet. Les couleurs d'automne étaient à leur apogée. Le chalet était très propre. L'isolation entre les chambre est bien faite, le bébé a pu dormir en paix en bas malgré que nous étions tous en haut.

Belle expérience mais quelques bémols

Il s'agit pour moi d'une première expérience alors je vais prendre le temps d'écrire mon appréciation. Points positifs = Endroit magique avec un vue resplendissante. Très propre. Vraiment à la hauteur de mes attentes Communication facile avec le propriétaire et réponse rapide. Il a aussi offert son numéro de cell ce que j'ai apprécié (mais pas utilisé) Points à améliorer : À mon avis, il manquait plusieurs commodités qui aurait dû être là. Quelques feuilles de papier, stylo aurait été apprécié, pas de café, aucune épices, papier d'aluminium. Lorsque l'endroit dit fournir le bois pour faire un feu de camp, je m'aurais attendu à avoir quelques bûches et du papier mais malheureusement, seulement des bouts de 2x4 mouillé sans aucun papier pour l'allumer. Il y avait un manque d'entretien flagrant,. Spa oui mais la moitié des jets ne fonctionnaient pas, les lumières ne fonctionnaient pas non plus, le BBQ les roulettes de contrôle de température était défectueuse, le toaster ne fonctionne simplement pas, 3 ronds du poêle ne fonctionnaient pas ou bien à moitié, les lumières extérieur étaient presque tous brûlés. Le propriétaire nous a envoyé un courriel à la fin du séjour pour nous demander de laver et de ranger nous même la vaisselle et d'aller porter les poubelles dans le container extérieur. Bien sûr je me serais ramasser et j'aurais parti le lave-vaisselle avant de partir mais de là à nous demander de ranger tout et d'aller porter les poubelles j'ai trouver ça carrément insultant lorsque nous avons été chargé des frais de nettoyage mais finalement nous avons du presque tout faire nous même. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour agréable et nous nous sommes bien reposé, cependant, il y aurait matière à améliorer facilement le séjour avec un minimum d'entretien.
