For the price the house is rundown. The stove didn't work well. Pots and pans out dated. Minimal cookware. The house is on a very busy street. Heavy traffic will come to a standstill out front. Our biggest concern were the doors not working. Some didn't open and close easy or lock. The house isn't safe. With that said the highlights were the backyard and pool. We hung outside most of the time. The yard is our reason for three stars and not two. The kids room setup was great. The matress in the main bedroom upstairs next to the kids room is a board, we couldn't sleep in there and moved downstairs. The 2nd bedroom downstairs (not master) shares a bathroom with The rest of the house. But for the price you can stay in a very nice place where they take care of basic clean up and stuff for you.

Property was nice but layout was a little weird. The only public restroom was the one that was associated with a downstairs bedroom. One double bed on floor upstairs. No bathroom, no privacy. The pool was supposed to be preheated but wasn't. One of the upstairs showers was clogged. The toilet in downstairs ran constantly and that room was too hot. Told owners and they were nice and came over right away and had someone fix the issues.

One of the greatest VRBO’s I have ever stayed at. The house was even better than the photos and the location was perfect. About a 5 minute drive from the ocean and downtown La Jolla which had tons to do. Our host went above and beyond. Incredibly responsive and communicative from start to finish, making the entire trip stress free. We had a group of 15 and every single person slept comfortably in a bed. No shortage of things to do around the house. Pool, hot tub, ping pong, basketball hoop, games, TV, etc. Kitchen was huge. We cooked most of our meals family style and ate either around the big dining table or the tables outside. Truly a 10/10 stay. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be coming back!

We do a trip and gather for a big dinner a few times a year. We seen this estate and this was the location where we wanted to enjoy. House was perfect for all of the different age kids and. Adults. Location closed to many beach’s and restaurants. Over all amazing time and the host was the best I have had on the VRBO app. So I would recommend this location to anyone that asked.

Myself along with my 3 adult children and their adult spouses along with their 3 children stayed at the property for 4 nights. The property is gorgeous inside and out. We had plenty of room to spread out, using the three king suites (on the inside) plus the bunk room. We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub, table tennis, smart TV and outside grill. The lush foliage on the hill behind the house made us feel like we were vacationing in the tropics. The location was close to La Jolla village and the Windandsea beach. We hope that someday we can return

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Spanish-style home in La Jolla. The backyard is absolutely sprawling and perfect for hosting—plenty of room to spread out, relax, and entertain. The pool was stunning, and the hot tub was such a nice touch for winding down in the evenings.The hosts went above and beyond, letting us check in early and keeping in great communication throughout the entire process, which made everything seamless and stress-free.If you’re looking for a resort-style home with gorgeous outdoor space, this is the place. Between the spacious interior and the backyard that feels like your own private retreat, it’s perfect for gatherings with family and friends. We’ll definitely be back!

Lovely property for a big group we had an issue with rat poison dog got into it should not have on pet and toddler welcome property, had a ceiling cave in and flood from broken pipe in pool bathroom Plummer out on Christmas Day, over all we had a great holiday vacation

Everything was great. Cleanliness would be my only criticism. The garbage cabinet was not clean and smelled of alcohol and garbage. Cob webs and dusting needed improvement.

Ideal SD escape for a large group!

The house and all its expansive space outside was ideal for the group of 14+ guys escaping to SD for the weekend. Communication from management was quick and clear leading up to the event as well as during - they dropped off a new basketball after hearing the one at the house was deflated! The pool and tub were fantastic escapes from the hot days and cool nights. While in the hills of La Jolla, we felt the location was perfectly convenient for our golf and race track adventures. The place does have some natural wear and tear though nothing standout and overall it surpassed our expectations/what we needed. Would definitely stay there again if making the same trip!

Perfect weekend!

My friends and I stayed here for my birthday/bachelorette weekend and we had the best time! There were 13 of us and we had plenty of room and all slept comfortably. The property is so beautiful and the weather was perfect to spend time in the backyard. My only regret is not staying longer!

The property manager was absolutely lovely! She was very attentive and made sure that we were comfortable the entire time. It was a lovely home, and the perfect space! My family and I loved it, and would definitely stay again. The location was also very easy to get around.

The perfect getaway!

My girlfriends and I needed a little getaway.. we were so fortunate this house was available for the weekend we had such an amazing stay. Shortly after we arrived, we were delivered a little welcome gift with wine, snacks, and a handwritten note! The house had everything we needed and more - from coffee and cooking essentials to maybe about 10 extra beds? LOL. The beds we used were so comfy… soft sheets, fluffy blankets and plenty of pillows. The house itself was just beautiful.. gorgeous stone flooring, exquisite décor, an abundance of sunlight, clean, etc. Some furniture has slight wear, but nothing unusual for a rental. But our favorite part of the house was the backyard where we enjoyed our breakfast and coffee each morning and the heated pool/spa in the evening (we really took advantage of the heated pool we were paying for it added much needed relaxation to our getaway!). The house is in a prime location nestled on Mount Soledad - we got a good workout in each day walking up to the cross where you can see all of San Diego. The house is about 5 min from the beach and a short drive to all the cute restaurants in La Jolla or Birdrock. We asked the host for restaurant suggestions and she responded promptly with her favorite options. We highly recommend Eddie V’s or Lupi. Thank you so much for our weekend getaway! It was just what we needed to relax, unwind and have girl time. We hope to be back soon!!! 5/5 house and 5/5 weekend.

Perfect for a girls trip!

For sure the house is beautiful and it has plenty of space for a large group. The pool, hot tub and very spacious backyard were excellent for entertainment. It was a little chillier, so opting to pay for pool heating was amazing. I asked that it be heated upon arrival so we were able to enjoy right after check in, and it was. The kitchen is very nice and the bedrooms are quite comfortable. This is a gorgeous home, but it is older and does have some wear. The host was easy to reach and very accommodating. Overall, it's a great place for a large group and I would likely rent it again. I would recommend it for large groups and would stay again for another girls trip. Thank you again for having us!

Amazing!

The house is beautiful, with several nice areas for large groups to hang out and relax. The kitchen is massive and well stocked for a rental. The house is really beautiful with higher end furniture throughout. It is in a perfect location, a few minutes from the beach, less than a 5 minute drive to the village of La Jolla, 20 minutes to the airport, 15 minutes to sea world and 30 minutes to Lego Land. The road is somewhat of a larger road, but it was never busy. The backyard is a really amazing oasis. The pool was super clean (but could use a fresh coat of paint), and we went in the hot tub every day as it heats up in minutes and is wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place for a large group, but there are a few things to know. It is listed as 6 bedrooms and while technically correct, two of the bedrooms are detached as the description says which is okay. One of the detached bedrooms is very small and tucked away, but does have its own full bathroom. However, with the bunk beds inside being full sized and the extra queen bed in the family room, it totally made up for it. You can sleep lots of people in this house comfortably! Host was exceptional. We would love to come back again soon.
