Kure Beach- Great Location - Lorraine's & Bec's Beach Houses
The two houses were perfect for our needs with having our dogs vacation with us. Great contact with the company! Houses were clean and in a great location! We would definitely stay here again.
Pros: Location is great-Within one block of pier and ocean and about four blocks from local off leash dog park. Arcade very close by and small market directly behind home. Homes were relatively clean and had everything you need for basic home needs. Beach wagons and some chairs and beach toys at both homes were great! We had five couples, a special needs teenager, and a toddler and we all had our respective places between the two homes. Plenty of parking area! Small fenced in area for dogs, but slats are wide, so our small dogs fit right through them. Close to Carolina Beach for night out with the family. Plenty of kitchen items and room to work in kitchen.
Cons: Slow water drainage in showers (I assume from sand in drains which they specifically have notes on walls about). Small ants in kitchen in Lorraine's house and bathroom cabinet broken. Beds could be better. Since homes are rented separately, you have to walk around front fence to get to other house. Wish there was a fence entrance near the cement driveway so you didn't have to walk so far. Just thought I would mention these few things, otherwise, the homes were perfect for our family.
