Wonnderful resort.
I stayed at a beautiful resort for three nights. There was a nice hiking trail just 3 minutes away from the resort with stunning views. I also rented a car to go on another hike and was blown away by the beautiful views. However, the bathroom in our room was the worst part of our stay. It had a terrible smell. I was also disappointed to find out that the ocean was not swim-able. I wish I had done more research. Without a car, it would have been difficult to get around.

Great resort with the best pool on Kauai. Staff was incredible and food was excellent. The location is perfect for enjoying the island beaches and shopping.
From check-in to check out, our vacation was wonderful. Thanks to the wonderful staff at check-in and check-out (especially Malaika!) to the workers at the recreation desk by the pool (thanks Jacie and crew!), we felt at home from the start. We hope to be back at the Grand Hyatt Kauai in the near future.

Resort is beautiful! If you’re looking for beach property- this isn’t your resort. Pools, lazy rivers, saltwater lagoons- yes!

Gorgeous property situated on a stunning, uncrowded stretch of beach. You can hike right from the property along the bluffs for miles of beautiful views. Lots of whales and turtles to be seen.

Aloha Karen, thank you for choosing to stay with us and so happy you got out on some hikes to explore beautiful Kauai. Sorry to hear there was a smell from the restroom. While we swimming is not recommended in front of the resort, Poipu Beach is a short walk or drive away and perfect for swimming and snorkeling due to it's protective reef.
