Located in Kitty Hawk, Ocean Overlook is close to great local dining, shopping, and things to do. A short walk will bring you to Black Pelican a historic landmark on the OBX with tasty meals as well! Longboards Island Grill, Stack'em High, and Hurricane Mo's are also close by Ocean Overlook as well. Excellent location for a beach stay!

Although the weather did not cooperate on our vacation, we had a great time for our first visit to the Outer Banks. This property has wonderful views of the ocean and is just a few steps away from the beach. The property had all of the beach items you could need so that was wonderful. The inside, however, was not as equipped as I would have liked. For example, each person staying only got one bath towel and one hand towel. There were no hand towels any of the bathrooms. There were no washcloths for the kitchen. There was no hand soap in any of the bathrooms, nor was there any dishwashing liquid or dishwashing tabs. I ended up purchasing a few things and then of course just had to leave it there because we couldn’t bring it home on our flight.

Lovely beach views from the top floor (dining room, living room and kitchen that make you want to do little else.Kitchen should have most people's needs.No need to rent beach equipment, the garage has chairs and a cart won't be useful as you have to climb stairs to the beach.You are just across the street from the beach and there is a pool in the community as well.Folks staying in different sides of the house will have different views on the temperature settings, plan accordingly.If you plan on going birding, there are binoculars in the house. If you go to some of the wildlife refuges, bring extra strength bug repellant, Outdoors Off did not keep the deer flies away. Nor did sun or wind. They are relentless.But a very nice place to stay, central in OBX - you can go North or South, or just stay mesmerized by your window.

Amazing view of the ocean Plenty of space/beds Everything we needed was there One of the Air conditioning units went out. We went out to eat and came back three hours later and they had reconciled the problem and we were cool again. Great customer service
