As soon as you enter your room, it stinks of sewage. Called the front desk and was told to sleep in the stinky smelly room because they don’t have any other room! They knew it from the beginning that it was a room that was not supposed to be sold. Wall and roof wallpaper is barely attached.

The staff was extremely kind and prompt. The room was clean and smelled good. I have dust allergies and I am happy to say there was no dust at all to trouble me. Even the bath was quite spacious.

Beside its good location nearby the train station, I really impress staff service mind (a night time shift guy on May 3, 2018) who help me a lot to find travel info. to the remote place like Takachio waterfalls and Fuji garden.

Basic comfort

Fine place to stay if you are a solo traveler who thinks of the hotel as the place to sleep and store your luggage. No frills, no luxury, just a decent bed to sleep in. Although the breakfast in the cafe is better than most comparable hotels in Japan.

Small Hotel - Larger Room - Close to JR Station

The size of the room was larger than the usual Japanese business hotel room, but hotel itself is small; small lobby, small dining/resting area, and only one elevator. Located very close to Kokura JR Station and a local department store. Check-out time is 10AM which is one hour earlier than most of Japanese business hotels.
