Tiki bar, outdoor seating, pool and beach all nice. Food and drinks are good and prices reasonable. Parking was easy and plenty of places nearby for food, entertainment and trinkets. Dislike. You can hear everyone in the rooms and on the street. I had street view room. Hotel needs some updates. Staff helpful, friendly and nice.

I couldn’t give it five stars because the hotel is undergoing renovations right now on the outside, mainly painting mostly the balconies are being resurfaced in the back of the ocean side. Not sure if our room was already done or not but you can see the repairs they’re trying to get done probably quickly before the June rush starts!

We stayed at this property for 2 days. The beds are not comfortable. The shower did not drain and the entire property needs updating. There a no chairs around the pool either.
In the past we stayed here because of the in hotel bar and restaurant…now it closes at 9:00 and the service wasn’t that great. Otherwise, the hotel was great.
Outdated but convenient
The property is nice enough, but the only reason we chose this facility was for the indoor pool and hot tub. Both are closed. They don’t even include breakfast, so we could have definitely found better accommodations if they would have been upfront about their inability to provide amenities.
The pet friendly rooms are all on the first floor and the hallway and room smelled like a kennel, which the hotel pumped some air freshener through the vent system to help but only made it worse. And there was very loud construction going on right outside my door which actually caused me to get the hell out early in the morning! Do NOT stay here if you’re needing to relax!
The indoor pool was a huge hit for the kids. Ocean front rooms made for great views. Front desk and cleaning staff were excellent. The bar/grill was closed during our stay (likely due to off season) which was unfortunate for our duration Hope to visit again in the warmer months.
It’s an older property but it was clean. The walls are paper thin and you can hear full conversations next door.

Rooms were clean, hallways could use a steam clean but expected during busy season. Restaurant was really good and convenient. All staff were friendly.
For larger families, we had asked for a room for 2 adults and 3 kids. However, we had to pay $10 extra for a rollaway bed. The room was quite tight with it since there is very little extra space in it.
The grounds were extremely clean and obviously well cared for.

The property looks well kept and updated. The Christmas tree was beautiful. Staff were friendly. I ended up only staying one night because the heater in the pool was not working properly. They were waiting for technician to come.

While we are an older property here in Nags Head, we do engage in upgrades such as the current renovation of our pool that has been recently done. Our seasonal outdoor pool will soon be converted to an indoor pool after the Labor Day holiday. At that point, we will complete the full renovation and have accompanying chairs in the atrium pool area. It is our hope that you received outstanding customer service from our staff, and you enjoyed relaxing on the beach. There are also great water activities to take advantage of such as parasailing, jet skiing and snorkeling through historic shipwrecks. Outdated but convenient
Thank you for your excellent review rating, Rachel. We take immense pride in the cleanliness and services that we offer guests here at our unique beachfront property, bordering Nags Head Beach. We have plenty of dining options near our hotel as well as our own “Beachcombers Tiki Hut” serving tropical cocktails, appetizers and dinner with a Hawaiian flare and offering panoramic views of the ocean. Please don’t forget to book us in the future when you are nearby.

Our indoor pool and hot tub are undergoing a remodel, which is posted on our website and third-party booking site and we are sorry if you did not notice this when booking.
