Great Cozy Cottage with a beautiful view
One never knows when looking at pics if a rustic styled cottage will be rustic and charming or worn down. In this case it was charmingly done! It had a rustic and cozy feel with many modern updates. The cottage itself was lovely with many thoughtful details. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the hosts took the time to have the cottage warm for our arrival, with some sweet welcoming touches. (It was early april and pretty chilly) My teenagers loved the sleeping loft, and I made great use of the Sauna. All 3 sleeping spaces had ample privacy. We also used the firepit nightly and enjoyed relaxing around it and enjoying some beautiful sunsets.
The waterfront is well appointed with a dock and boats for personal use. Unfortunately, it was too chilly to take advantage of them. We would definitely reserve this cottage on future visits when the weather is warmer in order to take full advantage of the lake in it's prime!
Its a bit off the beaten path since it's located in the middle of the Y of Keuka lake, but we hit Penn Yan in 14 mins and Hammondsport in just under 30. There were tons of amazing wineries and food spots in 20 mins or less. It's an easy spot if you want to visit places West of Keuka or Closer to Seneca Lake. We loved it!
Note: The Incline to to get up to the driveway is somewhat steep & this is clearly a 3 season spot; the road on which it is located has signs that say it's not maintained from Nov 15th thru April 15th.
