The hotel is clean. It looks royal and it has a good restaurant. The breakfast spread is really wonderful. It has a collection of Indian continental sushi, Italian, and other cuisines. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kathmandu Nepal. The staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to help anyone that is there as a guest.

The property was beautiful, the staff was amazing! There was a beautiful bar and a happy hour! The bathroom was a bit small and the room seemed a little dated, but it’s an older palace and the history is so cool. We would return again! The area around the hotel is okay, it’s just very hard to cross a street as the traffic is insane-but that’s all of Kathmandu.

Fabulous! I’ve never been disappointed yet in the many times I’ve stayed there. It’s always a memorable experience staying at Shanker Hotel. Beautiful architecture, great garden and outdoor pool, and absolutely wonderful staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. If you’ve never been to Kathmandu before then this is the place to stay. This is a beautiful hotel with a lot of history. Beautiful architecture and garden. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed here many times. It is my favorite hotel in Kathmandu!
