Smithville is home to triathlons (Matt Mason Memorial Cowboy-Up! Triathlon & Win for KC Women's TRYathlon), some great gravel bike races (Humphrey's Gravel Grinder and the Smithville Gravel Grinder), as well as miles of paved and track bike trails (Smoke And Davey Trailhead).
The local distillery (Little Platte Distillery) and several restaurants (award winning Chops BBQ, Humphrey's Bar and Grill) are within walking distance of the home. Also downtown are several shops for a great small town shopping experience.
