The rental had all of the amenities that we were looking for however there were a few issues that would easily turn this rental into a 5. Here are some of the issues we found while staying in this property. 1.) the BBQ grill was not in great shape and there was a lack of any tools. Especially missed was a wire brush to clean the grates. 2.) the mattresses on both the lower bunks need to be replaced as they were sagging badly on the edges and were difficult to find a comfortable position to sleep on. 3.) if there was a final check of the state of the cleanliness, they missed the dead mouse in dining room on the sticky mouse trap/pad. 4.) in reference to the #3 previous, one of the guests in the upper bedrooms experienced what could only be explained as a hole made by a rodent in one of his trousers which was being stored in one of the drawers.Finally, the last item is on us, not the on the property owners ... the climb up the stairs to the unit and up to the bedrooms was quite a climb. This would have been a consideration for us before renting the property as one of our friends is 80 years old and two others of us are in our 70's. It took a lot out of us that first day arriving and last day leaving. I think that a note that this was an upstairs unit would have been helpful.
