I booked Amari JB with great expectation as I had a great experience staying at Amari Penang for many times. Unfortunately, it wasnt a pleasant stay. As we checked in, I went for a shower, and only shampoo is around, no body shampoo. I called the operator, and I need to repeat 3 times on what is missing, and thats the first unpleasant encounter. Next is bath robe that is super dirty and stained as the attached picture. This is definitely something the hotel didnt manage well, how could such dirty bath robe ended in a so called newly cleaned room. When i went to the reception to highlight the issue, i was told that it will be informed to the manager and wanted to send a new robe to my room. I request to prepare at the reception and I'll pick them up when i come back. The service recovery wasnt done at all, i dont feel the staff genuinely know the serious of this hygience complaint, and just change the robe withtou further handling of the issue, and I guess this is how the so called manager handles it. I'm not happy with it. When i go back to take the replacement robe, there is another staff at the counter and when I mentioend my room, he was like so blur and not sure why im there for.. this is another lousy internal communication by the staff, showing that the hotel is not handlign this seriously. I'll consider if i want to book and stay at JB Amari again.
