The lodge comfortably accommodates up to 20 guests and offers three levels of living space, a fully equipped kitchen, dedicated theater room, kids’ room, upstairs loft, large covered patio, seasonal pool, year-round hot tub, and plenty of indoor and outdoor activities.
WHAT MAKES IRON HORSE SPECIAL

The lodge is conveniently located near Jasper, the Buffalo National River, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, waterfalls, scenic drives, and other outdoor adventures. Then return to the peace and privacy of your own mountain retreat.
THE DEN / THEATER ROOM
The den is our dedicated theater room, complete with a projector, 10-foot projection screen, and Klipsch sound bar. Every TV at the lodge is a Roku TV in guest mode, allowing you to sign into your own streaming services.
A large modular sectional with multiple seats and ottomans provides plenty of room for movie nights, along with a giant Big Joe bean bag that’s perfect for relaxing with a book while enjoying the scenic views through the large windows.
DINING ROOM
The dining room flows directly into the kitchen, living room, and den, keeping everyone connected while meals are being prepared.
• Main dining table seats up to 12 • Additional table for games, puzzles, cards, or extra seating • Additional chairs, high chair and toddler boosters available
LIVING ROOM
The spacious living room is the central gathering hub of the lodge. Dramatic vaulted ceilings, expansive windows, a beautiful stone fireplace featuring our handmade welded elk head, two tufted sofas, additional seating, and a game/dining table make this a favorite gathering space.
The unique motorcycle coffee and tea bar adds a little Iron Horse personality to the room.
KITCHEN
The kitchen is fully stocked for large-group cooking and entertaining, including:
• Refrigerator/freezer and double ovens • Stovetop and large microwave • Air fryer, Crock-Pot and Instant Pot • Pots, pans, woks and cooking utensils • Dishes, serving pieces and children’s dishes • Baking supplies, pizza pans and cutting boards • Storage containers, strainers and salad spinner • Seasonings and basic cooking/baking staples
Grab your groceries on the way to the lodge and you’ll be ready to cook!
THE LOFT
The upper-level loft provides a third living and gathering space with a children’s table and chairs, coloring supplies, desk/workspace, Roku TV and two small sofas.
For large groups, having three separate gathering spaces makes a huge difference. Kids can watch a show, color, or play in the loft while adults relax in the living room or watch a movie in the den.
THE PATIO & OUTDOOR SPACE
The large covered patio extends the full length of the lodge and includes:
• Two dining tables accommodating up to 12 • Gas grill and griddle • Oversized rocking chair • Two mounted fans • String lights • Retractable child-safety gate
The covered patio flows directly onto the concrete patio and outdoor recreation area where you’ll find the pool, hot tub and fire pit.
THE POOL
Our large swimming pool is a rare amenity for such a secluded, wooded mountain property. The pool is approximately 36 feet long and 17 feet wide, with depths ranging from approximately 3 feet to 8 feet.
POOL SEASON: MAY THROUGH SEPTEMBER
The pool area is surrounded by a fence, and the patio has a retractable child-safety gate. Lounge chairs make it easy to relax nearby while keeping an eye on swimmers.
Pool amenities include inflatables, beach towels, outdoor cushions, lounge chairs and a Bluetooth speaker.
Because the lodge is surrounded by woods, leaves, dirt and other natural debris can occasionally find their way into the pool—and you may even meet one of our woodland visitors, most likely a frog! We do our best to keep the pool clean and maintained throughout the season.
Please remember that children should always be supervised around the pool.
HOT TUB
The hot tub is available year-round and accommodates up to 7 guests. A solar-lit towel rack is available for hanging towels while enjoying the hot tub.
Please replace the hot tub cover securely after use, particularly because the lodge’s mountain location can experience strong winds.
FIRE PIT
The propane fire pit is located near the pool and hot tub and is a wonderful place to gather in the evening. An additional propane tank is available should the fire pit or grill/griddle run out during your stay.
GARAGE & RECREATION
The garage is packed with things to make your stay easier and more fun, including:
• Additional refrigerator/freezer • Extra dining chairs and high chair • Learning tower and toddler boosters • Pool inflatables and water guns • Toys and Bluetooth speaker • Ping pong, pickleball and croquet • Outdoor seating and cushions • Beach towels and grilling supplies • Compressor for inflatables
COMING IN 2027: A dedicated game room directly above the garage and a larger natural fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs!

The industrial ice maker provides a convenient supply of ice for your group throughout your stay—one less thing to worry about when you’re feeding and entertaining a large group!
GETTING TO IRON HORSE LODGE
Part of the experience of Iron Horse Lodge is getting away from it all!
The lodge is reached by a scenic, winding gravel/dirt county road through the Ozark Mountains. Road conditions can vary with weather and seasonal conditions.
During prolonged dry weather, the road can become particularly dusty and may have rougher sections. Snow, ice, or heavy rain can also make the road more challenging.
A 4WD/AWD vehicle is recommended during periods of snow, ice, or significant rainfall.
Once you arrive, you’ll understand why the drive is worth it: privacy, nature, mountain views, and true Ozark seclusion.

The property was stunning and very clean. The host did a great job communicating check in, check out, and any questions we had. They were kind enough to stock extra supplies like paper towels, toilet paper, and anything you could need. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to spend time in Jasper or around the Buffalo River. The only downside is the drive in once you reach the gravel road is a bit steep, especially on the way out. If you drive a sedan/coupe that is 2 wheel drive, I would recommend caution. The host warned us about this so no knock against them, but be careful! Overall the property was clean, had almost anything you could ask for (chargers, supplies, and amenities), and an excellent location.
