Wonderful house that’s perfect for a lake and golf getaway! Mike is a great host and very responsive! This house is incredibly clean and well-stocked with everything needed for your SML lake vacation. Kitchen has everything you need for cooking and enjoying meals at home. Very comfortable bedrooms and living space. This home has a huge selection of card games and board games to fill any downtime during your trip. Perfect location for a golf getaway or for a group of friends and family! The back deck is right off the 6th green! Tiff’s and Bruno’s on property are great restaurants if you dont feel like cooking. Nick, the bartender at Tiff’s, is a master mixer who will not fail to quench your thirst. I highly recommend Mariners Cottage to anyone looking for a SML getaway! I would happily stay here again! Fabulous house!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful home at Smith Mountain Lake! We were in town celebrating my niece’s college graduation, and the property made the occasion even more special.The home is brand new, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with comfort and style in mind. Every space felt fresh, clean, and inviting. The amenities were excellent—everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay was right at our fingertips.The owners truly went above and beyond with the thoughtful touches. The home was well-stocked with paper products, snacks, condiments, and coffee, which made settling in so easy and convenient. It really felt like they anticipated every need.Overall, this was a 5-star experience from start to finish. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-appointed getaway at Smith Mountain Lake. We would absolutely stay here again!

Perfect house! It was incredibly clean and welcoming. The beds were great and the washer/dryer was a lifesaver with two kiddos under 2. Jennifer was so kind and amazing to work with. Everything you need was provided and they even had a Christmas tree up for us since we stayed during Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Can’t say enough amazing things about this property. If you’re needing somewhere to stay in the SML area this is your place!

Gorgeous home in an amazing location! Mike and Jennifer's home is so well-appointed - they had everything we needed and more. My toddler, and my young niece and nephew, loved the space and the games, as well as the proximity to the game room and the outdoor and indoor pools (and beach access nearby)! The adults loved the layout - it was plenty of space for 7 of us, so clean and comfortable, and beautifully decorated without us having to "kid-proof" it. Mike and Jennifer were so responsive and flexible with us! Very highly recommend and we will definitely be back soon - such a gem of a place in a wonderful community with amazing amenities.

Our stay at the Mariners Cottage Lake Retreat was wonderful! The house was cozy. The beach lake access is a short walk from the home and not over crowded, it was a very enjoyable environment. Also, the house is very close to the golf cubhouse and the restaurant. The snacks the host left for us was a sweet added bonus. Everything was very clean and the whole stay was just the quiet retreat we were looking for! We will be back!

Such an AMAZING property. This was a last minute decision for a short lake trip and the location and property did NOT disappoint. So nicely appointed and a stocked kitchen. No detail was missed and the pictures in the listing were exactly what we encountered. Host was very responsive to any questions we had and the book with local attractions was a nice touch. We will be booking again!

Mike and Jenny are great hosts! They communicate promptly and are very helpful. The house is just as pictured— welcoming, clean, and spacious with all the necessities. My kids loved the arcade, pool, and boating around the lake. The lake is close and easily accessible which is great for kids of all ages. The house even had some games for us to play as a family which was so fun. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will be back again! Highly recommend!
