Nice little gem hidden away in an unlikely area

Really good. Staff friendly and helpful (limited by language). Breakfast was a joke. The local area did not feel very safe. However they can call out taxis to take you where you need to go. Language barrier.

The room maintenance needs improvement. Few light switches didn't work. Shower door was jammed and unable to slide shut. Nice cigarette burn in the bed sheet. The key reader on the door was out of battery and needed replacement. Upon check out I was told I needed to pay for 2 bottled waters, that the receptionist had offered me upon arrival. I don't mind paying, however at least make it explicitly clear that the drinks are not complimentary.

Enjoyable hotel.

My wife stays here every time she goes to Ho Chi Minh to see her Brother. It is close to the Airport and a good deal. She has stayed at a few of the budget hotels around the airport in the last year and this is her favorite.

Very Friendly staff, close to Airport.

The staff at this hotel was wonderful and very helpful they made the stay very enjoyable. The hotel is close to the airport but not in the hotel heavy area. I would say this in one the the friendliest hotels I have stayed at in Vietnam.

Inconveniences....

Broken door key(had to get them to open the door everytime, and receptionist had the nerve to ask me for broken key when I went out. I left it in slot to charge batteries in room because it was broken anyway), was overcharged 3x local price for a bottle of water....I stayed at 4 stars hotels and paid cheaper for water if at all free...everything in hotel feels like overpriced...between being far away, overpriced, I wouldn't stay here again. You can get better deal elsewhere.

A decent hotel

Consider the pricing, it is a good value decent hotel. The service was very good though. The staff was very very polite and helpful in transporting our lugages. Highly recommended.

Too far from airport

Cab fare from and to the airport almost exceeded the cost of the room. Next time I would pay a little more for a hotel nearer to the airport and avoid the time waisted getting to the hotel. Breakfast in the morning was a challenge with very few choices in the area.

Deceiving advertisement

While booking, there was no indication whatsoever that the room has no window, the "shower" is just a water dispenser on the ceiling of the W.C. and the sink is inside the room. There would be nothing wrong with all of these if there were honestly and clearly advertized.

hotel 2 1/2 star rating..in hotels.com I book one night $30, when I check in, they said no more room, so they send me to another hotel...I don't mind...... when I get there the hotel they replace for me not either have star rating... infront the hotel have the sign rent room $2.50 per hour or $10 a night.. hope they not do these with all customer.. booking at hotels.com never book this hotel again..............

Great stopover hotel near the airport

We had a 15 hour stopover and the hotel was able to accommodate us from 8am for the day. Excellent air con, shower and comfortable bed. The hotel has a lift and the room has tea & coffee making plus a fridge. Rate was very cheap and only about $5 for a taxi to the airport each way. Certainly could stay longer at this hotel if remaining in Saigon

Helping Hands

If you are looking for an intimate and quiet hotel this is for you. Don't be put off by the location because the tiny price of a taxi can put you anywhere in the city, and the staff will treat you like royalty to help you get back and forth. Be patient because the “English” takes some getting used to, but remember you are the foreigner and these folks will do anything they can to help and serve you.

Good condition hotel with something weird in it

The experience staying at Hon En hotel is not too bad until the day we checked out. We have an hour spare time till we checked out. So I decided to go for massage service provided in the hotel. I expect a lady to bring me to the massage room instead a guy, because I am a female customer. The receptionist asked a guy to bring me to the massage room and I started to feel uneasy. I suspect something wrong with the spa place. So, I quickly decided to cancel the massage and refund from the reception. Phew!!

Good for airport layover

The hotel staff were extremely courteous, going so far as to unload our luggage from the cab at 1 in the morning. For the price, this hotel was a great value.
