NEW YORKER BY LOTTE HOTELS
4/5 Good
"Location is perfect for events at or near Madison Square Gardens. The staff varied drastically in friendliness and helpfullness. The hotel while still has it's vintage character needs repairs. The plumbing was a challenge. Getting the shower to not be one extreme or the other for temperature was extremely difficult and when you thought you got it right it would blast random extremely hot water for a couple seconds. The beds were very comfortable. There was plenty of room for two people with two full-size beds, dressers, desk, TV, etc. The biggest complaint I have about the room is there is no refrigerator or in room coffee. The "free breakfast" consists of the smallest cup of juice, hot coffee or hot tea, and a bagel, croissant, toast, muffin or pastry. The bagel was good. The croissant was OK. The muffin was not good. The blueberry Danish pastry was delicious! I wish someone had told me we could get our breakfast from the coffee spot in the lobby to take to our room before our last day. They tell you to redeem the coupons in the Tick Tock diner to try to entice you into ordering more from the menu for additional cost. Dinner in the diner was hit or miss. Steak was definitely not worth the price. It was average at best with salty broccoli and mashed potatoes that just were not good. The chicken parm boat was HUGE and it was quite tasty. All in all I'd go back just for the location alone if attending MSG event again. Go to Avenida across the street for the best tacos & burrito"
