The house was very nice and in a peaceful area. The host was responsive and easy to contact. The location was great for taking trips to Harbor Springs, Petoskey and Mackinac. We’d love to come back when the tunnel of trees is fully open again.

This lovely little home is a fantastic escape! Careful and thoughtful craftsmanship is evident everywhere; nice kitchen; comfy beds; beautiful backyard for watching deer trek across the edge of the woodland while birds greet the morning sun. I'll miss having my morning coffee out there!Host was super communicative and responsive. Totally recommend.

It is difficult to find a place to stay in this small village with limited accommodations and we hit the jackpot with this rental. Spacious living / dining / kitchen area, clean & comfortable. A fully equipped kitchen. A professional stove, outside grill, toaster, microwave, coffee maker & all the utensils to cook & prep meals and snacks. Downtown is less than a 1/4 mile walk, please visit iconic Legs Inn. A polish bar with historic photographs with legendary artist John Smolak. A place crafted from beautiful driftwood pieces into Native American totem poles, benches & tables which you sit at, it is stunning. There is a self guided historic walking tour of many of the buildings and areas in town. Enjoy a walk in the woods on the Cross Village nature trail near the rental. The beach is nearby a short drive down the bluff. Communication with host was easy and is nearby for anything you need. An enjoyable place to stay, so quiet & peaceful. While having coffee & tea, we were watching deer roam the property in the early morning & evening. We will definitely be back again! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

We arrived during a wild thunderstorm and couldn’t unpack until it passed. Thus allowing us a bit of time to sit and relish in the cottage, enjoying the beautiful interior. Lighting is something we absolutely are sticklers about. This unit has soft warm comfortable lighting throughout. During the storm and each evening, we felt it was so peaceful to sit and enjoy.Extremely clean, nicely remodeled, full of amenities. We needed nothing. Bruce was one heck of a host!I’m pretty sure we skirted in early on the rental phase of this property as we defiantly underpaid. I know this spot is going to be extremely popular as soon as it gets out. Hope to be back as Cross is close to our hearts as a family. If you’re reading this review pondering pulling the trigger or not, do it. What an awesome couple of nights we had here! Thank you again Bruce!
