Tree Fort on Lake Michigan is a beautiful custom timber frame cottage located directly on Lake Michigan near Cross Village; an approximate 20-minute drive North from Harbor Springs through the scenic Tunnel of Trees. Several decking levels lead you down to stretches of natural shoreline with beach grasses and sparkling blue waters. The kitchen and living areas are beautifully appointed with natural wood elements, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere. Sleeping spaces include one main bedroom with queen along with two separate berths for sleeping or simply reading a book. With plenty of windows offering Lake Michigan breezes and peaceful sounds of the natural surroundings, this home makes the perfect Northern Michigan getaway for a couple or group up to four. While the home doesn’t have air conditioning, there are ceiling fans and additional standard fans can be provided. Wi-Fi is included at this home.Tree Fort offers a spacious upper decking area that includes a private outdoor shower, gas grill and comfortable outdoor seating for enjoying summer alfresco dining. A lower deck makes the perfect spot for listening to the water lap against the shore, watching the sunset, or relaxing during another day Up North. Stairs are required to access all living areas, decks, and lake.Current lake water levels are fluctuating which can result in beach composition variations. For this reason, we highly recommend water shoes.
