We were very impressed by the service of the hotel manager and staff. They were so helpful in carrying our large luggages when we were switched to another homestay on the first night and switching back to Gecko Hotel for another 2 more nights. We were upgraded to a big room as an apology to the inconvenience caused. The hotel is entered through a claw crane shop. There is a small elevator to use. There is no tv in the room. The lighting is a bit dim in the room. The kettle could be cleaner. Mineral water, toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, hand soap and shower gel are provided, but not shampoo and shower cap. The bathroom drainage system is not that good, water drains slowly. Bathrobe, hairdryer and minibar are ready to use. There is a rooftop common space. You can enjoy the view of the streets from there. A recommended hotel which is strategically located in the center of the old quarter.
