Not worth the money

This is a beautiful property, the grounds are well-maintained, great walk-out beach access and they take care of the big things very well. Unfortunately, this is where the good part ends. Attention to detail is lacking in many areas and for an all-inclusive resort to run out of lime juice and strawberries to make mixed drinks, was unacceptable. Grazie Italian restaurant’s food was bland and the server never even brought my sister in laws food out, even after saying she’d check. The service was hit or miss, the welcome at the check-in desk was fabulous. Some of the workers want to do a good job, but we were told the GM cut alcohol allotments for the bars, and for an all-inclusive resort, that’s inexcusable. There were people buying alcohol in the gift shop just to get over the shortage on the property. Our party got the feeling from most servers, that we were a nuisance rather than people who spent good money to spend time there. Unfortunately, this is experience has soured our take on the Royalton at St Lucia and we will not be back

Sure — here’s a polished version of your review for Royalton St. Lucia that captures your experience clearly and naturally, while still being honest and helpful: ⸻ 3 stars – beautiful property, but hospitality and food were a letdown The Royalton St. Lucia is undeniably beautiful, and our room—especially with the swim-out pool—was stunning. No complaints there. But for a resort that looks this high-end, the overall experience fell short in a few key areas. Food: Honestly, the food was terrible. We found ourselves eating eggs for breakfast and lunch almost every day. A lot of other guests we spoke with felt the same. Dinner reservations were impossible to get at the resort’s restaurants, so we ended up eating off property most nights—which might’ve been for the best. Several guests mentioned it felt like the restaurants just repackaged the buffet food. Service & Hospitality: This was the biggest disappointment. There were no servers consistently checking in on guests throughout the day—you had to get your own drinks from the bar. Blenders were broken, and depending on which bar you asked, they couldn’t make basic frozen drinks. I’ve never been told “no” so many times at a resort. A little more effort in saying “yes” would go a long way. We also found it strange that they were stingy with bottled water and wouldn’t restock the fridge after the first day. One day, the specialty coffee bar had no drinks available. Staff, in general, didn’t seem engaged—some had an attitude

We visited the Royalton for our Honeymoon. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was great (many options), the drinks were great (tons of different bars around the property) and the overall vibe was good. They had entertainment every night on property, which we enjoyed. We found that much of the staff (non-restaurant) was not friendly or neutral (not welcoming). Room service was all over the place, between wait time and not being able to bring what we ordered. We had trouble getting items in the room (toilet paper) when needed. The restaurants were great, and the staff in those were top notch. The staff in the restaurants made the experience in those places. The tour area was great, very easy to schedule excursions and no pressure to book. The excursions we did were amazing. We did the Jeep Safari, Chocolate and Rum Tour, Catamaran, Street Party and Helicopter. ALL were great.

The property is gorgeous. No sargassum anywhere! The beach was beautiful, the pools were beautiful, the rooms were nice. The app they make you download to make reservations for the restaurants sucks. It wouldn't work half the time, then you can only do a reservation 2 days in advance, so I would have to keep checking back, the app would crash.. I tried to get help from the dining desk and that was one of the few times a staff member was actually rude. We only got to eat at 2 of the 5 restaurants because of this. YOU NEED A BETTER SYSTEM. I'm not new to all-inclusive. I'm used to having to make reservations when you first arrive, but this system was terrible. Also- they ran out of stuff for drinks almost daily. One bar didn't have tequila, one didn't have any coconut, etc. So for that part- please do better. The all inclusive is expensive, and I expect it to be good. I appreciated the room service availability and the gelato being open late!

This hotel looks great on the outside but there’s something fundamentally wrong on the inside. First of all I’d like to rename this hotel the ‘Sorry Hotel’ because of the number of times I was told ‘I’m sorry ma’am’. This hotel could have been rated a lot higher if they didn’t promise certain things but rarely delivered. From the complementary beach bags for Diamond Club guests which I had to request several times and ended up receiving a substitute after staying for 3 days, to having a smoothie station set up in the buffet restaurant but not having a blender, to not having money in the ATM or being able to do a money advance at the main lobby and instead being told we need to take a 40 USD 5 minute taxi ride to the nearest ATM, to running out of vege burgers at the Diamond Club grill and being told there won’t be any more till the next day, to always having to request straws for slushy drinks (sometimes to be told sorry). The number of times I was disappointed bcuz something that was ‘advertised’ was not available was too numerous. This happened every single day. Then our room had a musty/moldy smell that didn’t go away. And the main buffet restaurant had an eggy smell whether they were serving breakfast or not. However the staff was very friendly and courteous and the grounds were always well maintained.
