Misleading Beach Photos, Unusable Beach, Dissapointing Experience

We booked this property for its advertised private sand beach, shown in photos as clean and swimmable. Unfortunately, what we arrived to was very different: the beach was littered with decomposing fish, fish bones, garbage, and algae-filled water that stretched as far as the eye could see. The conditions were stinky and unsanitary and made the entire beachfront area completely unusable.This was not just a minor issue — it defeated the purpose of the stay and the money paid for beachfront property with a completely unusable beach. We reported everything to the host with photos on Day 1. Host blamed everything on mother nature and offered to send his father on the next day or take a shovel from the garage and dig up dead, smelly fish myself (are you kidding me?! for the money you charge you want me to clean your beach?). A dead fish was removed on Day 2 by the host but the overall condition remained unchanged and worsened when we took a closer look and found decayed bird with fish skin near the rocks area..just gross. The beach could not be safely or comfortably used.We ended our stay early due to these conditions and initiated a formal complaint with Vrbo because host is not being reasonable with refund amount. House itself is clean, but the listing heavily misrepresents the actual state of the beach and water which is why we booked this property.This was our first negative experience after years of booking thru Vrbo. I hope this helps others make an informed decision.

Quaint Waterfront Cottage

Quaint small 1950's cottage on Green Bay waterfront. Overall very pleased with our stay and the property. Conveniently located for Green Bay and Door Peninsula activities.

Relaxing

What a great place! Great views of the bay. A couple cranes come by each morning. Comfy bed, nice hot shower, and there is a great table to play board games on. So close to Lambeau and all your Pro Shop needs! Take a walk through tthe wildlife park for a little exercise!

Cozy cottage

Just stayed for a quick two night trip. The location was great—lots of outdoor stuff to do near the cottage. Very nice to have space to move around. Very clean!

Packer Weekend

Peaceful, waterfront retreat

Had a great relaxing stay at this nicely appointed cottage. Communication and instructions were great, house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. There was a screened porch where we could enjoy the water view, there was also easy access to the beach for daily walks with our dog. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows in the fire pit. Overall we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay and recommend this cottage.

Great getaway on the sandy shores of Green Bay, WI

We took our two kids and dog here for a week. Really well maintained property with great amenities. They've done a great job with the decor in this cottage and we had plenty of space. We had a great time relaxing by the lake, kayaking, and visiting local Green Bay attractions. Given the opportunity, we'd definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a place to relax and reset with a beautiful view, this is the place! We enjoyed our stay and it’s so close to Door County, Lambeau Field, restaurants and bars. Comfy beds and beautiful screen porch!!

College Visit

We were in town to do a campus tour. The location of this property is perfect--very close to campus, on the lake with amazing sunsets, near the amusement park, only a few minutes to amazing restaurants and the Packers! We spent the morning taking the kayaks out (life vests are even provided). After exploring the town, the kids were able to hang out in the yard with the dog and play corn hole while I curled up with a book on the sun porch. We really enjoyed walking through the free nature center and the Green Bay University arboretum. Jet's Pizza was also a huge hit. Most importantly, the beds are pillows are very comfortable. If my son chooses to go here, we will be booking this property again!

Perfect family vacay

We stayed here the first week of August with our family and it was absolutely perfect for us! We have 4 children ages 2-10 and there was something for all of them to enjoy. The house is stocked with toys and games inside and outdoor equipment in the garage! We used the kayak's daily and the kids took the bikes to lambeau and even got picked to ride them with the packer team to the practice field! The beach was so fun and my kids enjoyed making sandcastles until the sun set. You can literally see bay beach amusement park from your private beach. Everything is so close. The house is modest but clean and comfy. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with pots, pans, utensils etc. The screened in porch area was absolutely perfect! we absolutely would stay there again!
