I had only one interaction with staff during check-in. She was cold, unemotional and lacked the basic skills necessary in the hospitality industry. The breakfast was laughable. White bread, cold cereal and putrid coffee. The orange juice was the only acceptable part of this 'breakfast. There was no staff during our 15 minutes there. The tv remote was missing. No body wash in the shower and no body lotion in thewash room.

Let me start out with the positives: This hotel is in a great spot next to restaurants and walking distance to the train depot for those looking for a cheaper stay than at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel. The room we had was extended, allowing all 7 of us to stay together in one room which was perfect! I was very thankful for that! Staff was kind. Now to the negatives: The room was in severe need of updating and safety checks. Outlet covers were missing, door lock did not work properly, appliances/tv plugs were sketchy, windows single pane meaning the heat was on quite a lot making people sleeping closer to the heater on the other side of the room were sweltering. We also found items under the beds from previous patrons which was kind of unnerving. What else isn’t being checked, you know?

Room was terrible! Room temperature was around 40 degrees upon arrive with no heat turned on. Sink had no hand soap and hot water. Shower would go between freezing and scalding hot temperature with no in between. Indoor hot tube was also barely above freezing temperature and not able to use. The breakfast included cereal and bread and nothing more.

The room was decent, bathroom soap container was falling off the wall. The TV's in both insuite rooms were not working. I asked the front clerk for assistance, she said somebody was going to come to the room to take a look at them but nobody showed up. The location is great but i wouldn't stay there again.

We survived it. When we checked in, we went to our room, and my kid took a dump in the toilet and found it wouldn’t flush because there was no water in the tank—and no way to get the water to glow into the tank. Got a different room and needed staff to turn in the heater. There was a desk lamp and a floor-height lamp near the door, both broken—not the bulbs but the post and the sockets. So strange that they were seen in the room—should’ve been thrown out long ago. Everything is run down in the rooms—TV wouldn’t work to set up kid’s Xbox—first time that’s been an issue anywhere. We thought about using the hot tub, but it was very murky—I don’t think you could see your feet if you stepped into it—so we didn’t risk it. Pool was closed. Breakfast was scant, and the orange juice gave me stomach problems all day—it was the only thing I consumed that day. On the positive side, it was pretty quiet and in a good location, but several other nearby motels at about the same price looked better. It’s really a total tear down—would be great if a developer would acquire and raze it and put in something nice.
