This was a great place. The hotel layout was nice. The bathroom and shower were awesome. The Christmas lights were pretty. And we hiked the 2 mile loop behind the hotel. I would pick this over any other option. Restaurant food was good too.

It was a quick call to the hotel for an airport shuttle once we arrived. Making reservations ahead would of been better in case they were busy. Large lobby with a gift shop for items you may need, like juice and water, a pair of earrings, a woven basket.. or a post card. We were able to check in early after a long days travel. There is a playground, basketball court, and a nature trail available. The hot tub was used more than the pool as we saw people early morning and late in the evening using it. Spacious rooms with a shower with great water pressure. Get up early to see some wildlife foraging. Make reservations at their restaurant as it was quite busy there. Enjoyed the food and time relaxing there.

This property is one of the loveliest hotels I’ve stayed at. The rooms are beautiful, beds extremely comfortable, great pillows. The ponderosa pine forest behind the hotel has several trails (1 to 2 miles) where you feel like you’re far away from people. Just breathtaking!

Overall unhappy with our stay. Cost of the room when we booked was drastically different than what we were charged. The room was a non-smoking room but it had a stale cigarette smoke smell. There was a dirty bandaid in the bathtub so we couldn’t give our baby a bath. The “room service” or in room dining experience was very disappointing. Our food came a half hour later than anticipated and when it arrived it was thrown in boxes. We purchased the filet mignon and it arrived cold. If we would have known it was “take-out” we would have ordered from a delivery app. The property is beautiful and we enjoyed the scenery but we will not be staying here again.

We were told we would receive a text when our room was ready. After an hour of waiting I went back to the front desk to ask if they had an ETA on our room, it had been ready but we never received a text. We had a conjoining set of rooms. One shower still had hair in the shower and the other room needed a vacuum. The remote didn't work in one of our rooms as well. The mini fridge wouldn't get cold.

Staff was very nice and friendly. Room was clean. It's a very good place when you're travelling from California to New Mexico, and want to stop for one day. It's only one hour by car to Sedona and it's cheper. Stay here, make a one day trip to Sedona to hicking or just see the Cathedral Rock for example, go back, stay for another night and hit the road again!
