I travel for a living and this is literally the worst travel experience of my life. Absolutely detestable agency that uses high paying customers to live through shockingly poor maintenance and dilapidated properties. If you want to ruin your holiday and have a living hell experience look no further than Coastal property letting agency. Just some of the issues - stench from the bathroom drains, mouldy washing machine, filthy floors, taps falling off, stove didn’t work, curtains broken, chipped bowls & cracked glasses, no wifi, no working vacuum cleaner. I could go on but at the price point charged per night it was an absolute disgrace. Requested my money back and no redress given other than disingenuous “sorreee” followed by the constant intrusion to fix things (the stench never went away) that should have been undertaken before charging guests. Jewel common areas were lovely but be warned, the location is a wind tunnel and it’s very noisy! We were woken at or before 5 am most days with the garbage truck or construction noise. 5 week stay Aug - Sept 2025.

Loved that the beach was right across the walkway. The apartment was modern and relatively tidy. Unfortunately there were no instructions on which entrance to use from the carpark to enter the building (there are two residences buildings). There should be a booklet to explain how to use everything in the apartment (sound system, wifi, curtain openers & doorbell unit & how to access the pool). It also would have been nice to know there was a convenience store in the other residence building. We didnt discover this until our last day. The pool on level 3 was closed, which was part of the reason we booked this place, so that was disappointing. The pool on the ground level was good, although our key fobs only worked in one entry door. The washing machine smelled and was dirty, so I had to clean this before we used it. The apartment was modern and tidy, but the bathroom drains were not clean, you could visibly see the grime buildup in the drain under the sink. Ideally more toilet paper and towels would have been made available, for the beach & pool. The ocean view was only from one corner of the outdoor area. Would have been nice to have outdoor lights in the covered decking area, at night. There also weren’t any dining options within walking distance (besides the Langham restaurant).

Jewel residence was a lovely place however I certainly wouldn’t say that the apartment had “ocean views” We had a brief glimpse of the beach out of 1 corner window. At best it should have be advertised as partial ocean view. It was incredibly disappointing the lack of ocean views for the price paid. The apartment is clean and modern. Only 1 bathroom which was a rude shock. Beds were very comfortable. Coastal letting was less than helpful when I contacted them to enquire about the lack of ocean views and other small issues. Would be very reluctant to book anything through them again due to inaccurate advertising. Pools were inviting and the close proximity to the beach is very convenient with children.
