The room was clean and spacious and the hotel seemed to be going through an upgrade to the rooms, ours had not been through that yet. The pressure in the water shower was pretty good, but the water temperature was not warm enough but improved as we reached Friday-– so I’m not sure if it was an issue throughout the week when we stayed or if they don’t turn up the water heaters until the weekends. The light show was not what we had expected and the show on the screen was prefaced by a 15 minute advertisement on the area and they only showed about 10 or 15 minutes of a film each night at 8 PM The location in comparison to the beach is spectacular – just a short walk out the door and you are right there. Overall, I missed that the restaurant next-door was not open, it would’ve been nice to have something that was very close since the options around the hotel are somewhat limited. We would definitely stay again if in the area.

The light show was entertaining and informative and the ocean vibe (view and sound of waves) enjoyable. However, the hot tub being out of service and general lack of friendliness from the front desk staff somewhat diminished the overall experience at the Pacific Reef Hotel and light show.

Better than expected! Area seems to be very unimpressive - maybe bc it was off season?? Our room was good - nothing to brag about but good enough!! Staff in the office was not over welcoming but being from a resort town I’m guessing they are under staffed post summer season. Would stay again
