Desperately needs updating, especially for the price. The building and rooms just feel dilapidated. There is no A/C, which I understand is usually not necessary, but it was warm when we stayed so our room was hot and required us to leave the glass door open all night which was a little concerning because we were on the first floor. The rooms smelled musty and the carpet needs replacing. This review however does NOT reflect the staff who were all absolutely lovely, kind, and helpful!

Okay stay

Staff after check in was very friendly. Had to go to the lobby to get Kleenex, shampoo, etc. On day of checkout there was no yogurt and bakery options were critically low. Pool in separate building from rooms. View was beautiful. Balcony was nice. Sink needed to be attached to counter more solidly. Price seemed a little high.

This place has the best view in gold beach. We’ve been here many times and love it. Unfortunately the property is getting old and needs some repairs. The screen door was hard to open, there was a lot of rust in the door jam out to the balcony, there was a dirty napkin and wash cloth left on the ground, and we had to call for towels because there weren’t any in the room. Little things that can’t be overlooked.

This is not a picture of the property. This photo is a bait and switch. Our door handle was broken, the ice machine was broken, the sliding glass door was so cloudy that you could not see through it. This was very disappointing.

Stayed here a few years back and it was quite nice, sadly things have definitely gone downhill since then and I don't think we'll be back. Certainly not up to par with other Best Western properties. The good - All rooms (I think) have ocean views and there is a trail that goes right down to the beach. Heater in the room worked well. Indoor pool and hot tub our kiddo thoroughly enjoyed. Breakfast was great, we got there right before it ended on a Saturday and still were able to get waffles, eggs, potatoes, ham, biscuits and gravy, etc. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The bad - Our room was on the lower level, which DOES NOT look like the pictures. I understand that these are the cheapest rooms they offer however transparency is important. The lower level rooms are located below the parking level ones, in a musty hallway with a door that no longer locks. Furniture looks like it's from 2005 and all felt like it had a film over it. I got the feeling we may have been put in a pet friendly room, which I did not appreciate as we were traveling with a young baby. Stained lampshades. Curtains were ancient, stained and the sheer ones are yellowed from age. It was nice to have a balcony however there was no screen and the slider did not lock (which is concerning as we are on the lower level). There was just a piece of wood to place in the track. We found a blood stain on the sheets. There was quite a lot of black mold in the bathroom and on the window
