Beautiful house with stunning views of the sea and mountains

Our house is built on the foundations of an old fisherman's cottage and has always been family-owned. It is a very unique place. Grown. Created.
The central room is spacious (6m x 10m) with an open kitchen, dining area, wood-burning stove + seating area and a cosy bay window from which you can gaze out over the bay and the Twelve Bens mountains beyond. Absolutely picturesque. The nearby small harbour is a scenic point on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Adjacent to this room is a large conservatory, a bathroom and an idyllic bedroom with a double bed.
The house is heated with several electric heaters. Electricity is not included in the rental price (must be read on arrival and departure and paid for afterwards. The cost per kWh is currently €0.35). There is also a stove that can be heated with coal, peat and wood (which can be purchased in the nearest village, Carna, and is also not included in the rental price).
Linen package (bed linen and normal towels) €10 per person per stay, to be put on by yourself.
A WiFi connection is available.

Das Cottage ist wunderschön. Es ist traumhaft direkt am Wasser gelegen und mit allem ausgestattet, was man benötigt und sich wünscht. Es ist praktisch und liebevoll eingerichtet. Von überall hat mein einen traumhaften Blick auf die Twelve Bens und das Wasser, selbst vom Schlafzimmer aus. Das Frühstück kann man im Wintergarten genießen. Die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet, es sind mehr als genug Handtücher vorhanden. Check in und Kommunikation waren unkompliziert und sehr nett. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit dort und kommen bald wieder. Vielen Dank dafür!

The host communicated well despite time differences. The property is exactly as described and was a lovely place to stay. The views were ever changing and all beautiful. We had a little trouble understanding the heating system the first day, but there is a local contact provided.

Magical place

What an incredible and comfortable place. The views, property and region were stunning. Loved the cottage and its decor and the peaceful easy energy that surrounded us. We stayed eight days and enjoyed many day trips throughout the region. Plus several days simply being in the awe inspiring space watching the tides come in and flow out. Lambs and The Mountains

We stayed for 3 weeks and loved every day of our visit. The house is comfortable and has everything anyone could need. The manager hosts are thoughtful and helpful. The view is of the magnificent Twelve Bens Mountains and wonderful baby lambs, and occasional Irish hares hopping around the stones. You will love it.

Ein Familienkleinod wurde uns überlassen. Eingerichtet und mit Geschichte - absolut in der Natur gelegen. Schöner Wintergarten - wunderschöne Aussicht. Liegt etwas einsam, über eine Landstraße zu erreichen, jedoch im Umkreis von ca 50 km viele schöne Ziele und Berge zum Wandern.

Comfy and cozy, with grand views

This assemblage of cottages is perfect: gorgeous views, lovely garden, tasteful, comfy furniture and useful fittings -- not the usual, drab IKEA (or worse) style but a warm, personal, entirely cozy house. And with good books to boot! Even if it should, occasionally, be raining (which it didn't while we were there), you never feel indoors. Perfect place for nature and book lovers.

What a great setting!

Beautiful house, modern fittings, clean and nicely decorated. Pretty flowered garden all around. Quiet location, with stunning views, to the west, so guaranteed sunsets. Easily driveable roads to it. Easy check-in with neighbour. Everything is done for you to feel welcome. One small thing, bedrooms 2 and 3 are in the annex, with connection only through the outside. Not a problem at all for us, but it might the case for a family with young children.

Tolles Cotage zum entspannen. wunderschöne große Fenster mit tollem Ausblick aufs Wasser. Viele gemütliche, schöne Plätze im Haus, um die Aussicht zu genießen oder am Kamin zu sitzen. Gutes Restaurant in 1 km Entfernung. Etliche Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung. Infomaterial dazu gibt es im Haus. Nette Gastgeber und Ansprechpartner vor Ort.

Perfekte Zeit

Es war rundherum ein sehr schöner und entspannter Aufenthalt. Alles ist in dem schönen und geschmackvoll gestalteten Cottage vorhanden. Die Kommunikation mit den Besitzer:in war hervorragend.
