The food was world class and the breakfast not to be missed. Doting staff and spectacular grounds.

This is a beautiful hotel estate that has a interesting history. The staff was very friendly and some very interesting to talk to. The food was outstanding and the scenery was breathtaking. The baths were very modern and even had heated mirrors and towel racks. the furniture and artwork were beautiful pieces. The chocolates on the bed were almost as nice a touch as the unbelievably great tasting cupcakes that were left for us in our rooms at bedtime. The staff was so nice and accommodating. They made us feel special. We will definitely be heading back next year.

Beautiful Venue, terrific outdoors experience and hiking trails, accommodating staff

The Ballynahinch Castle Hotel beyond exceeded expectations. The staff was warm and welcoming and very intuitive to your every need. I have stayed at many different hotels from the Ritz to Holiday Inns. Nothing has even come within rage of what we experienced here. Our room was clean, large, and fitting of a castle. The maids knew how we liked our covers, pillows, ect. after the first night. We had fresh towels brought to us with maid service and turn down service along with anything else we may have needed (all without asking). They knew when we were gone and were very good about not bothering us when we were still in the room. All this being said I haven't even touched on the castle common areas and grounds. This hotel is something from a storybook. Everything looks as if it came from a movie. We enjoyed a free breakfast that you can have delivered to your room or eaten in the gorgeous dining area. We ate most of our dinner meals in the pub downstairs where we were waited on by the most delightful French girl who made is feel right at home! We ended our Irish Holiday in Dublin. We were saddened to have left the castle and wish we had stayed there the whole holiday instead of coming to the city.

If Ballynahinch could control the weather, it would have been an absolutely perfect visit! It was drizzling most of the time, but it didn't really distract from the beauty. The surrounding grounds are beautiful every direction that you look. We had a room (44) that overlooked the river. It looked like it had been updated fairly recently and had a super comfortable bed with a large sitting area. This was one of the luxury rooms in the newer section which I chose because of the river view. We arrived early on the day we checked in so that my husband could do some fly fishing with a guide. They provided everything he needed. We ate dinner in the tavern and the food was very good. Breakfast was in the dining room and was included in the price of the room. They had a couple of large buffet tables set up and also took your order for your main entree. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. We truly felt like we were treated like royalty. It is in easy driving distance to the city of Clifden and Connemara national park.

Enjoyed the stay very much...just make sure you ask for a room with a view to the river
