Everything was in walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg do look out for bears because there was a bear around the property for 2days also some things need to be updated the carpet in the stairwell is old and has a moldy smell and the carpets in the rooms has a lot of wear and tear the fitness center was under renovation very kind staff the view from the balcony was great breakfast was hot and fresh and good choices every day the room was very clean

I liked the fact that the attractions were within walking distance and the area seemed safe for tourists. The hotel breakfast was very good and our room was roomy enough for the 3 of us and the bathroom was clean and stocked for the 2 nights stay, however the doorknob to the bathroom came off. We were able to get it back on and was able to close the door. The room had a bad sickening odor and we found that it was coming from the air conditioner. Good thing I took air freshener with me. The hallway also had a bad odor as well. I think the carpets need to be cleaned. The staff were very nice.

Good location for shopping an eating. No need to drive. I didn’t like that I paid for a balcony a didn’t get one a the laundry room was out of service. We couldn’t wash clothes. Housekeeping never came to our room the entire time we were there.

Property was clean, even though dated. We slept well in our room (beds were comfortable!) and the AC worked perfectly! Breakfast was decent - waffles, biscuits, sausage, eggs, fruit, coffee, juice. Staff were friendly.

Do not let the photos of the hotel fool you. Breakfast area was so gross I did not attempt to eat free breakfast. Took Picture from my third floor room of a Beaver entering an open door that I believe is the back door near kitchen of breakfast area. I booked 4 nights but left the morning of my first night because room was damp and A/C had broken vents and gad not been cleaned in some time. Refrigerator cabinet doors were falling off. Stay at your own risk.

Elevator games

The hotel was fine for the money. The front desk folks were great, the rest were ok. We were offered use of the ‘basement’ pool if we felt we needed it. (Their words) We saw it and immediately decided we did not. Our favorite game was guess what will be in the elevator. Best 3 were an abandoned luggage cart, a puddle of piss, and a mop bucket with dirty water but no mop. You get what you pay for for sure.

My overall stay at this property was exactly what we were looking for. It’s a good walking distance to the main strip. The free breakfast has lots of good options and was delicious. The room was clean and spacious. My one complaint is one night a thunderstorm came through, and the parking spot in the parking lots attached to the hotel flooded. And to our surprise the next morning our car was full on water. There was no warning signs posted of possible flooding and the lady at the front desk could not help with camera footage for an insurance claim. She actually didn’t offer any help at all while we attempted to drain and soak up the water with whatever we had inside of our car. Just beware of the parking spots closest to the street
