TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE. venture capitalist slumlord owned, poorly managed by beachbox rentals. beds were broken or not as advertised, sparce furniture for placing suitcases. and few seating options in communal areas. couch was stained and sunken and dingy. genuinely a bait and switch.

Had a little hick up with getting the key from the box. Had to wait about an hour for maintenance to show up and let is in. Aside from that everything was great. Great location and comfortable accommodations.

The couch was filthy and worn out including the ottoman. We were given one small bath towel and wash rag for the entire stay. The dishwasher was not completely installed…it fell out of the hole when you tried to open it. There was no place to put anything in the bedroom except on the floor. There was a clothes rack but no hangers. The kitchen “island” was a table that was unstable. No place to gather and relax.

The host was responsive from the moment I booked. Easy check-in and easy check-out. It was our first time being in Galveston. We wanted to explore the town, but since we only had one night at the property, we wanted to enjoy the amenities and the ambience of the property.

You state there are 3 parking places but there is only ONE‼ There is only room for one car between the red marked curbs in front and you cannot park in the driveway because it blocks the sidewalk. The parking police told me he would give me a ticket if I parked there. You have shuffleboard but cannot play because there isn’t enough waxy granules to make the pucks slide. There are no towel racks in either bathroom so you have to put them on the floor or take them with back to your bedroom. We would not stay here again even for a lesser price…..

I think the parking was our only issue. But we made it happen by parking behind the car in the drive. One across from the house.

Old of course but needs a lotta work on outside. Outdoor furniture had dirt & leaves all over it. Underpinning on house loose all around .Needs a paint job & wood floor inside needs caulk ( can see thru in places). And parking instructions say you can park in driveway in front but don’t . We got a 75 ticket. Only other parking is on street which I checked several times nightly. Beds were comfortable tho . Upstairs got hot by lunch but cooled off in time for bed. Location worked great for us

Our group had a fantastic time at this beautiful and well-maintained house. The A/C was a lifesaver and kept the house incredibly comfortable throughout our stay. The clean bathrooms and spacious, fully-equipped kitchen were both major highlights. The common spaces are generous and easily accommodate a large group. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and found ample parking on the street across from the house. A minor point of feedback is related to parking: a heads-up in the house manual that the driveway blocks a public walkway would be a great addition, as we were ticketed. Other than that, we had a very pleasant and restful stay.

check in was fine. kitchen and bathrooms were clean enough, but not great. we opted to NOT eat here and ate out instead. One of the pedestal sinks had a leg broken off and propped up in corner by toilet. I loved the idea of historic charm, but there was no charm, just dirty/run down. Especially the furniture in living room and bedrooms. Couch was stained and had torn cushions. outdoor furniture was filthy so we did not use it. Water pressure was terrible. Just a trickle in the sink when showering. Both bathroom doors were almost impossible to open/close which was problematic for our group of 15. Not one single extra towel or washcloth in the house. The pictures showed table with enough chairs to accommodate our large group, but there were only 5 chairs at table upon arrival. One extra was found in a bedroom upstairs. Curtains were falling off the rods in all upstairs bedrooms. Upon arrival, one of the upstairs windows was open, so it was super warm in that room. Floor rug in downstairs bedroom was curled up, creating a tripping hazard for the older couple staying in here. Bunk bed ladders were detached and nails were poking out in upstairs bedroom. Was okay for the one night we stayed, but I would not stay here again for the price we paid (1150 for one night). Would do separate hotel rooms. Cockroach crawled out of wall into shower while one guest was showering. Would NOT recommend to a friend to stay here.

Good Location
It was ok. There are repairs that need made. Bathroom doors not closing easily, dishwasher not secured to the cabinet, downstairs bathroom tub does not drain, the sink is missing a leg. Also, the house was extremely hot when we arrived, smelled of sewer and there are ANTS in the kitchen. For the price we were disappointed with the overall conditions. We only stayed one night, so we overlooked all the issues.

Great location
The house is great, especially for larger groups. You can't get a better location either. It was the perfect distance for all the popular Galveston attractions. The beds were so comfortable as well, so that's a big plus! It was a bit hot upstairs during the day, but luckily it cooled down at night, so that was okay. We would book this house again!

Full House family cruise
Booked for a 1 night stay before cruise. House was 15 minutes to the Galveston cruise port. Great location. 20 minute uber to the beach. Communication with host was great. House smelled old upon arrival. Glad i had a big can of lysol spray. Furniture old chairs missing from the dining room table. Water pressure was weak in both bathrooms. Water did not go down drain properly in 1st floor shower/tub. It worked for a 1 night stay.

Great spot to lay our heads before our cruise
We booked this property for 1 night ahead of a cruise and the group adored this house and enjoyed the convenience of walking to dinner and to grab coffee. Some who stayed even walked to the royal caribbean port and actually were able to hoard before those of us who began ordering an uber at the same time time

Night b4 cruise stay
Our group of 11 stayed at this property the night b4 our cruise. We had 9 adults, a teenager and 1 child. The house took care of all of our needs. Everyone had their own bed and there was plenty of bathroom time for everyone. Great location, within walking distance to just about everything and the cruise port. Only thing that was a small issue was the road noise and sirens. The house is on a corner and apparently near either an ambulance service, police or fire station for we heard sirens several times. Other than that it was a perfect match!
