The Million Dollar view!

An awesome place, right on Lake Michigan with perfect views. The beach is wonderful. We have rented this cottage for many years. Always enjoy the place, all the local restaurants, cool shopping and nature. We have already reserved for next year!!

Wonderful and most comfortable beach home! Spectacular views, dunes, and basically private beach. It was wonderful having 4 en-suite bedrooms! Kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans. So nice to be able to relax and enjoy one another’s company. Loved this home!

Family time

We had a marvelous time! My wife and I stayed here with our two daughters' families and we didn't want to leave, it felt like home! Everything was top-notch! Wonderful secluded beach, large home, plenty of room, great kitchen, very clean, so happy to find this gem!

Fantastic view

The Griners' home was as described - beautiful views of Lake Michigan from the main and top levels. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of plates, cups, glasses, utensils, etc. It was great that each room had it's own bathroom. We enjoyed the fire pit on the beach. It's a little steep getting to the beach in a few places (we had a few older people) but still manageable. Lots of rocks on the water's edge to look for Petoskey Stones. You can walk about a mile north on the beach to the Point Betsie Lighthouse. We enjoyed our stay.

This is our 13th year here. One can physically feel themselves relaxing as they drive up and first see the beach.

Griner's Life's Savings Station. On the beach of Lake Michigan. Wonderful experience as usual. The feeling of awe as you sit on the deck with your cup of coffee gazing at the lake in the morning. Facilities are excellent. We'll be back next year.

The Most Perfect Setting to make lasting memories

We have been coming to the Frankfort area for years, but we have never had a more perfect stay than we did at Griners. If I could have given this rental more than 5 stars, I would have! The setting is truly amazing. Secluded with a gorgeous private beach and sand dunes that left us in awe. The house was spotless and it was so well equipped, we had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and every bedroom having an en suite bathroom was a real plus. Check in and communication was excellent. We will look forward to a return visit!

Dunes sunsets and views

My wife and i come up to the leelanau peninsula area frequently, first time staying in Frankfort but was a great area. House is well kept, felt like a home not a rental. Great views from the decks, fun drive in from M22, the road goes right out into the dunes which wnds up being your front yard pretty much. No regrets staying here and will keep it as a favorite for possible future stays in Frankfort. Griners life $aving$ station was a fun adventure and its in a great location, enjoy if your lucky enough to stay here.

Million Dollar View, SO enjoy it every year!

The Griners Life Savings Station is a large cottage/home right on the dunes of beautiful Lake Michigan, near Point Betsie. Wonderful views of Lake Michigan. Stroll on the beach, find Petoskey stones! Lots of boat, yacht and ore boat watching. We have been renting it for over 10 plus years. Always very peaceful, clean and ready to enjoy. Also to be explored are many great restaurants, stores, bars and beaches in the Frankfort, MI area. We have already signed up for 2024!

Our Favorite Week of the Summer

We have been coming to Griners Life Saving$ Station for the past 10 years and we look forward to this week for the whole year! We love having the beach to ourselves (mostly), waking up to the crashing waves, finding Petoskey stones, having s'mores, looking for falling stars and having family time. The house hasn't changed at all during that time-- which makes us laugh. Still the same furniture and funny flags as the drapes, but we wouldn't change a thing. See you next year!

Beautiful Lake Michigan

This is the 12th year we have stayed at Griners wonderful, well equipped and peaceful "Station." Awesome to watch Lake Michigan and enjoy the beach everyday. Sun, waves, collecting a few Petoskey stones, always great fun! A fully equip kitchen or you can enjoy all the delicious restaurants in Frankfort, Beulah, Benzonia, Empire, Glen Arbor, all fairly close by. Lots of shops and places to explore. Nature abounds, deer, eagles, gulls, cormorants, rabbits, blue water, blue skies and white capped waves. Look out the windows and watch the big and little boats go by. Even the clouds and storms are very cool!! Go and enjoy it all. You will want to STAY and return year after year!!!
