This was a great condo. The location was perfect - great view of the beach and ocean, easy access to the beach, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Communication from the rental property was outstanding, and the condo was in great shape. Would definitely recommend!

We felt like the property could have been cleaner. We found leftover items from the previous guest in the freezer.A/C was messed up, we couldn’t figure out what was going on. We shut the DS unit off and it was still low 60’s with unit off. We kept up stairs unit on 70-72.

Hodges’ Spring Break

Summer Wind was an awesome place to stay! Plenty of room, great amenities, and perfect location. We loved being able to see and hear the ocean while eating dinner on the porch. It was super close to the pier and some of the cool shops and restaurants on Center Street. We would come back again!

There were 4 of us, two couples who have been friends for a long time. We meet once a year for a vacation. This condo met our needs perfectly. It had a large balcony with a beautiful view. We enjoyed the spacious bedrooms and bathrooms and well equipped kitchen. Certainly enough space for 3 couples or a family. Perfect!

Fantastic Hidden Gem on Folly!

This rental was everything advertised and more. Beautiful ocean views from the balconies, bright & open floorplan inside, very nicely decorated, great modern appliances/amenities. The public beach access was literally across the street so we were on the sand within a minute of leaving the condo. Perfect location away from the crowds but still within walking distance to the main street. Note: The building one house down from the property was under some construction so during the weekdays there was some construction noise during the day Weds-Friday, but it looked like they were getting close to completed so this may not be an issue much longer. We weren't bothered too much by it and I would definitely rent this condo again on a future trip!

Great beach location and condo

This was a great getaway for us, our daughter and grandchildren for Thanksgiving. Easy access to the beach and a terrific view from the balconies. Walkable to restaurants and shops. Condo is lovely and was very clean with everything we needed. Would love to stay here again!

Love this Property - We Came Back!

This was our second time staying at Summer Wind. We thoroughly enjoy this property and the location. Beautiful beach views and plenty of amenities. Don’t pass up sunrise walks on the easily accessible beach!! Area feels safe and you can walk to restaurants and shops in Folly Beach. Charleston attractions are a short drive.

Summer Wind June '23

Nice condo across the street from the beach, with great ocean views. Easy walking distance to the stores, restaurants, and bars on Center Street and nearby. The beach directly in front of the property can get crowded (especially on the weekend) with daytrippers and overflow from a large nearby condo complex, which is either a good or bad depending on what you're after.

Great beach house

A wonderful place to stay at Folly Beach. This was our second year staying in the same townhouse. It is located directly across the street from a beach path. Covered parking, outdoor shower and plenty of room for a family to spread out and enjoy!!

Perfect!

It was exactly as described and then some. Clean, functional with a lovely view of the ocean. We could walk to some fun Folly Beach restaurants and bars - or just hang out on the fabulous porch. A+!

Great House Great View!

The views from this property are unbeatable. The beaches are clean and beautiful and there was easy access from the condo. Two block walk into downtown Folly Beach which was a blessing on Saturday night when traffic was heavy. Condo had everything we needed. Spent a lot of time on the patio just watching the surf and dolphins. Would definitely come back here!

Great stay!

Perfect location everything is walking distance. Kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook! Beds are very comfortable! The only negative was there is nothing to take to the beach. No chairs, stuff for kids, etc.

Great Location!

I would easily upgrade this rating to a four star if beach supplies were made available to guests. A couple of beach chairs, towels, an umbrella, and a small cooler for guest use would be really nice. We flew in from California and had to purchase or rent. Located directly across from the beach with easy access to beach, pier, and local restaurants in walking distance. Downstairs bedroom is quite light at night from outdoor lighting and blinds that don't block out the light. It was too bright for me, so we moved upstairs. Also, we arrived at night and the unit number was not on the check in email. It tooks us a few minutes to figure it out. All in all, a great place to stay.

Wonderful retreat to the ocean with 3 generations

We loved our stay at Summer Wind. We were with our adult children and adolescent grand-daughter, and everyone had a marvelous time. The views from both decks were wonderful, and best of all, it felt private and relatively quiet. Our only disturbance was a full day of roadwork, which was noisy and unpleasant. On normal days, however, the small one-way street between the condo and the beach, was not a n issue, and had very little traffic. The distance from the condo to the beach is minimal, and it is a short walk to restaurants and shops in town. We will definitely be back!

Very Nice Place

Great location and accommodations. Enjoyed the area. My only feedback would be to include the unit number in the correspondence and some instructions on where to go from the parking area. We arrived at night and it was pretty dark. We ended up trying to access a door that was a closet instead of the actual entry which was up above. :). I found the unit number in the last photo in the listing itself. We were able to call and reach the management group straight away and get direction so kudos to the communication side!

Great views and beach access.

Great place to stay! Home was clean, safe, and a short walk to the beach. Beds were comfortable. Unobstructed views of the ocean/beach are a true treasure of this property. Reasonable drive to many of Charleston’s points of interest. Enjoyed our visit and would definitely stay here again.

CofC Parents Weekend

We were in town visiting our daughter from CofC for Parents Weekend. Quick, easy drive to the college. Great house with beautiful view. Walkable to restaurants and things to do. Lots of kitchen supplies. My only minor issue was I requested an early check-in and was told I could check in at 2pm for an additional $100. Not a big deal, but seemed like a lot of money for 2 hours when the house seemed empty during that time (we were nearby waiting). Overall, I highly recommend!

Great location, comfortable accomodations

Summer Winds was a great getaway for our company's Christmas event. Its views are amazing and the location couldn't be beaten. The unit was clean and updated nicely with plenty of room for 3 couples. We highly recommend a stay here when visiting Folly Beach.
