About this property

Classic Florentine style apartment, just behind the Cathedral

We welcome you in our apartment in the heart of the historic center of Florence. We are located in the place where the ancient city walls stood in the time of Dante, until 1300. It is an apartment that has been in our family for generations, and which we have recently restored, being careful to preserve its classic Florentine style with the original wooden parquet, the finishes in “pietra serena” and the antique furniture. The classic style has been enriched with modern details to ensure the best comfort for our guests: air conditioning in all rooms, TV and WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen (with induction hob, microwave, fridge and dishwasher), a private toilet in the master bedroom and a bathroom with one hydromassage shower. The living area faces the main road with two large windows, while the sleeping area is at the back of the apartment to allow you to have a comfortable sleep.

Just behind the Duomo with the famous Brunelleschi's Dome, the apartment is a few steps from the Bargello Museum, the Accademia Gallery and the Church of Santa Croce. All the monuments of the historic center, Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio, the Uffizi Museum and Ponte Vecchio, the Cappelle Medicee and Palazzo Medici Riccardi, are conveniently reachable in 5-10 minutes on foot. An excellent starting point to visit Florence and breathe in its medieval and Renaissance atmosphere. The area offers a great variety of typical restaurants where you can taste excellent traditional and international cuisine, there are theaters, local craft shops, ice-cream shops and pubs where you can spend a pleasant evening.
The apartment is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and 2 bathrooms, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can expect to find free WiFi and a TV with a DVD player. The bathroom offers hair dryers and bidets. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a coffee maker.

Daniele and Gianna are fantastic hosts with great communication and even helped us get a taxi for our early morning departure. The rental is adorable and is in a perfect location to walk to all the interest spots. Gianna met us at the rental and showed us the place and gave us a map with spots to visit. The apartment was as listed and so cute and we recommend this place to anyone that would like to enjoy their stay in Florence.

The apartment has the perfect location to access the city by walking. The hosts are incredible, very nice about our constantly change in plans. Always available by text message. They were so helpful in getting us a taxi to the train station. The apartment itself is very clean and perfect for a family with a very modern kitchen, access to washing machine and an en suite powder room. It was nice to have great air conditioning after a day of walking the city. I hope to stay again soon!

Real good stay

This is a real good place , clean and updated accommodation in a vintage character building and neighborhood. We walked everywhere from this central location in the old town part of Lisbon. Many good and interesting cafes , shops , museums , and attractions nearby. Our hosts Francoise and Jorge were great. We have stayed in numerous VRBO properties, and this is one of best we have had . Highly recommend.

Charming Apartment Heart of Florence

Daniele's apartment was the ideal location for our family of four during our stay in Florence. It is located within walking distance of everything (including the train station) we wanted to see in the city and provided a space to hang out if we wanted a break from all of the activity. Daniele made us feel welcome and was so helpful with directions and recommendations for food, nightlife and local sites. This was our first experience with renting a vrbo in Florence, and we would definitely stay again if we travel back.

Great Place and Great Host

Our host, Daniele, was very friendly and helpful. He met us exactly at check-in and check-out. He gave us great recommendations and offered to help with taxi reservations in case there were language issues. The apartment is charming and clean. We loved the shower. The beds are comfortable. And the apartment is within walking distance of all the attractions. We loved staying in this charming apartment and would definitely go back.

Christmas visit to Florence

The property was exactly what we were looking for. Located in close proximity to everything we wanted to visit in Florence. The apartment was in an old building yet the kitchen and bathrooms were modern (no cold showers!). Daniele was the perfect host. He coordinated with us to be there on our arrival, he gave us a map and showed us different points of interest, he offered to help us with securing transportation for our trip to Sienna, and when we locked ourselves out of the apartment on Christmas Eve he drove back to town (an hour and a half) immediately to let us in the apartment without complaint (and gosh did we feel bad about that). We highly recommend this apartment!

Great experience at Duomo apartment

We had a very enjoyable 4-night stay at this nicely decorated and updated apartment located within a short walk to the Duomo. The owner, Daniele, provided excellent communication and a lot of help from the beginning of our reservation to the time we checked out. Daniele was responsive and provided help with transportation to the apartment, warmly greeted us when we arrived, walked us through a map of Florence and suggested a couple of fun and interesting activities for us. He also kindly arranged for transportation to the airport the day we departed. This was our first visit to Florence and we had a wonderful time. We would definitely stay in this apartment again if/when we make it back to Florence!
