The hotel was great for our needs and family. We needed a close-ish stay to Acadia that we booked last minute. As other reviews have stated, it is not the most secure hotel (exterior doors didn’t appear to lock, if you check in late they leave your door code in an envelope by the front desk) but there were multiple security cameras and we felt safe the whole time. There is no elevator so be sure to request the first floor if needed. We were fine with the stairs. We found the room to be comfortable and spacious. The sofa bed was actually quite comfortable and the linens were in a drawer in the main bedroom. It was nice to have the full fridge and stove, but we didn’t need it. We didn’t have the chance to use the pool but it looked great. While the property didn’t advertise breakfast, there were muffins, fruit and coffee which was great to grab and go. The property was clean, although our room did have a faint dog smell (it’s a pet friendly property).
Parking was plentiful and it was easy to get to Bar Harbor. If you’re ok with a few quirks, I think it’s a great and reasonably priced option for families. We would stay again if we were in the area.
