This was a nice hotel with friendly staff and adequate breakfast. It would be nice if the slots for USB cables were updated to accommodate the newer universal USB-C cables or just an additional regular electrical plug.

The room was clean, staff were friendly. The one issue is the queen bed closest to the door in room 217 - the mattress slants towards the window. Made for a not so comfortable sleep.

Would definitely stay here again. The rooms were spotless, beds were comfortable, staff were all super friendly and helpful, great food in the restaurant/loung, and free continental breakfast was definitely worthwhile. Had an enjoyable couple of nights.

Tge guy on the desk was ok. The restaurant/bar was playing karioke (extremely badly) at an incredibly loud noise. No way could anyone enjoy food or drink and the noise carried trough out the ground floor. And it didn’t stop until 11pm. Pillows were too small and not firm enough. Sheet and cover were too short. Very expensive fie a motel feel.

Check in at 4 pm. Front desk said that was standard in all BW facilities. Checked with BW Customer service and found that was a lie. If one wanted an earlier check in it was an extra $30. Overall, the feeling was financially desperate. A lot of little things said the owner/ franchisee was nickel and dimeing it. Duncan needs competition. At the least the owner and management of this hotel need to check into the BW Northgate in Nanaimo to see what a quality experience looks like. I don't think I will return to this location ecen though i am a loyal BW customer. The lack of consistency between BW locations is very apparent in this location.
