Family time in a great location!

We enjoyed this house and its location. Many amenities in this house in a quiet neighborhood in Douglas, within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Also, a short drive to Saugatuck and the beach. We are already saying that we would like to go back.

Our stay in Douglas couldn’t have been better! The home itself was so cozy and fit my friends and I very comfortably. The kitchen was spacious for all of us to help cook, the back porch was great for hanging out, the beds were all comfy, etc. We loved how close it was to both downtown Douglas and Saugatuck. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a Douglas/Saugatuck stay!

2023 family vacation

Great property

This property was just as advertised and it’s perfect for a family vacation. Everything that we needed was there (in fact more than we were told). There was lots of space and the neighborhood is lovely.

Wonderful weekend away!

We loved our stay at this beautiful house! It was a perfect location to downtown Douglas. The house was beautiful and nicely furnished. Plenty of space for everyone and everything in the kitchen that we needed was there. We look forward to visiting this beautiful house on Water Street again!

Lovely wedding weekend

A group of us stayed here for a wedding in town, and we wish we had more time to enjoy the wonderful property! It was so beautiful, clean, and the perfect location. Would definitely return!

Bachelorette Fun

This house was exactly as listed and was perfect for a weekend bachelorette. It was well stocked with kitchenware, has a lovely backyard, and had lots of comfy beds. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone in need of a large space for family or friends. Easy walk to downtown Douglas and a quick drive into saugatuck!

Fourth in Douglas

This comfy house played well to our family of 13 and made a great base for Fourth of July in the Douglas/Saugatu8ck area. Much time spent at Oval beach & enjoyed the food from many restaurants in the area. Our house was easy walking distance to downtown Douglas and the Kalamazoo river area. Great time!!

90th Birthday party

We threw a fabulous 90th birthday bash for my mom with family and friends! This spot was perfect for reuniting family from three different states, plus all our local loved ones. We spent countless afternoons playing board games, solving puzzles, and soaking up quality family time. Exploring Douglas and Saugatuck was a breeze with them being so close. I can't recommend this place enough for families!

Vacation home loaded with lots of extras

Owners of this house have provided lots of extras! Kitchen with lots of cookware and dishes, garage with sound system, basement with many beds for large families, beautiful screened porch, and lots of outdoor seating. Very comfortable home walking distance to everything in Douglas.

Great house

Wonderful house for a family vacation. Our daughter’s family of five stayed in the basement level where they had plenty of space. The rest of us (grandparents, aunts and uncles) slept in the bedrooms on the second floor. Kitchen was great and had almost everything we needed. The spacious screened in porch was perfect for eating and card games. Convenient location to Douglas business district and Bayou Park.

Douglas/Saugatuck 2023

We haven’t taken a family vacation for a while and this year we decided to take our three grown daughters and their families and stay all together. This house was perfect. We all had plenty of space and the grandkids had a blast. Best part of the trip was seeing everyone laugh and be relaxed in what felt like our home for the week.

Large comfortable home

Very nice home for large group. Location is great! The master bedroom shower upstairs did not work. Back screened in porch was a relaxing place to go. It was not swept. Otherwise, we did enjoy this large home and our stay. Thank you!

Lovely house, ideal location

We had a large group & this property was amazing, more than enough private space for everybody. Location was amazing - right across from the Kalamazoo and kayaking, a 2min walk to downtown Douglas, and a short drive to Saugatuck, Holland, and South Haven. We will 100% be returning to the property, I wish all rentals were of this quality. My only nitpick is that we could have used better a better manual of household instructions (how to operate the televisions & goofy cable setup, how to operate the stereo in the garage, etc)

Wonderful house! Very clean and tidy. Lots of items to accommodate our stay. Excellent location just a few minutes outside Saugatuck and walkable to downtown Douglas. We would absolutely stay here again! It had space for our entire extended family with children. Our only complaint that has been explained to the property manager is the water setting is HOT. It would quickly turn to scorching hot no matter how slow we turned it on, starting at cold. We think the water heater was set too high so we want others to know and be careful. Overall we loved our stay. The house was perfect. We would gladly stay again and recommend it to others!!

Douglas-Saugatuck, MI

Large and spacious home in a lovely neighborhood. Home was clean and well-stocked. Walking distance to shops and water activities. Minor downsides would be no bedroom on main level so all guests need to be able to use stairs and with only one thermostat on main level, the upper-level bedrooms got warm during the night while lower-level bedrooms were quite cold. Minutes away by car to downtown Saugatuck. Highlights were kayaking on the Kalamazoo, the sunset cruise on Star of Saugatuck. Food highlights were The Farmhouse Deli, Kilwins and Sherman's Ice Cream.

Love Douglas MI

We had a great stay in Douglas. The house was clean and provided several extras for the kids, plenty of beach towels, well stocked kitchen, etc. Had a few minor complaints about the house, but nothing that rose to the level of contacting management. Biggest issue was trying to keep everyone comfortable at night. Might have been us, but could not find a comfortable temp to keep lower level warm and upper level cool for sleeping. We have a similar issue at home so I get it. Should have probably called to get advise on that issue. Otherwise everyone (11 of us) had a great stay.

Very convenient Douglas home

We have rented a few homes and this home was well prepared for guests. The kitchen had a nice set of dishes, glasses, mugs, dish towels and soap. Laundry machines were functional with plenty of detergent available. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Two of the three full bathrooms have been recently updated, the third was totally fine. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and back screened in patio/room. There were some spaces of the house that we didn't even go into, so there was plenty of space to hang out as a family. We had a group of 10 ranging from 11-80. The location is fabulous! It's a 3 min walk into Douglas to a few restaurants and shops, then it's a bit over a mile walk (all sidewalks) into Saugatuk. We generally drove the mile, parked, and then explored Saugatuk by foot. We did need one on site repair, but it was taken care of immediately! Great service.

Excellent Home

This home was perfect! Clean and had all the amenities . I loved sitting out on the screened in porch watching the squirrels chase each other up and down the big oak trees. It was private and peaceful. It was my favorite spot in the house. Even the day it rained. The kitchen and dining room were spacious for the 13 of us. The teenagers LOVED the downstairs area!! It was so cool! My husband and I stayed in the Master bedroom which was huge! The bed was comfy and the decor simple. The ensuite bathroom was perfect! The house had beach chairs and sand toys for the beach (take the Interurban shuttle to Oval beach for a dollar each way). The garage held one of our cars and the other 4 (we all arrived within a few days of one another) cars fit nicely in the driveway. The neighborhood WAS SO NEAT!! My daughters and I walked the neighborhood to downtown Douglas (quaint small area) on our way to Sailing Saugatuck to meet the rest of the gang for an afternoon sailing on The Serenity! Best day ever! I also took a short walk (twice) over to Borrowed Time to pick up some Yummy wine! Such a cute place. The company BVW makes it sound like there is nothing in this place and you have to bring everything but I was surprised to find spices, kitchen supplies left over, beach towels, chairs etc, games, blankets to snuggle in on the couch and shampoo, conditioner and lotion in the bathrooms. It was probably one of my favorite VRBOs.

Wedding visit

We were visiting Saugatuk for a wedding. Two families getting together for some cousin fun. The place was beautiful and well equipped for us. Plenty of space for the teens and the adults.
