Sundog Cottage - Clean & Cozy - EV - Walk to Food & Beach - Fenced Yard for Dog

Stocked with the best and often forgotten essentials so you can arrive as you would to your own family beach house. We want you to be at home at Sundog the moment you pull into the driveway.

Cozy, clean and great vibe! This updated (Solar battery backup) cottage with a modern retro flair is in a very walkable location near the General Store, Coastal Kitchen, and main beach access. It is a sleepier section of the village with pastoral views from the fully fenced backyard and if you go to the far left corner of the front deck, depending on the growth of the trees down there, you get a peekaboo view of the ocean. There's even a doggy door for your (smaller) furry friend.

We've made the most of this sweet cottage, and it has an open feel and romantic, comfortable decor.

Each bedroom has a Queen bed.

Solar back up keeps the power on out here, and you know that's a big giant PERK.

ABOUT DOGS:

We LOVE DOGS (madly, I tell you) and are determined to be able to host them too, however we do have insurance restrictions on breeds (check if yours is a high profile breed), and limit two 2 dogs (3 if they're leeeetle) and 4 people max.

Backyard is fully fenced and secure with a charcoal BBQ grill, and picnic table. The birds are almost always singing here.

Front deck is huge, with Adirondack chairs and a a pup gate to keep everyone contained. We have the beach chairs, towels, umbrella, blanket, toys and all the things to make you happy down there in the sand.

We are clean and peaceful and serene, and hope that is what draws you in to stay with us!

No smoking (anywhere on the premises).
Please clean up after Fido.
The cottage is heated and features a kitchen and a patio, and there's space to spread out with 2 bedrooms. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. We had such a great stay at Sundog! The house is super cozy, clean and bright, and has everything you need. I LOVE that the kitchen is stocked with essentials (like olive oil and coffee!). Valerie was an incredible host, communicated with us about everything, and even left surprises for our kids a dog! The location is fantastic - easy walk to the beach and the store. This is one of our favorite vacation spots. Our dog loves the off-leash beach and dog-friendly culture and our kids are either in the dunes or in the water. Thanks for an amazing stay!

I thoroughly enjoyed a weekend stay at Sundog Cottage with my brother, sister-in-law, niece and both our dogs in early October! Valerie left the cutest & thoughtful selection of welcome goodies for my niece and dog toys for the pups. With a fully equipped kitchen, we enjoyed the ability to prepare dinners in - BBQ hamburgers one night & grilled shrimp tacos the next. The pups appreciated the fully secured & safe back patio for fresh air, potty duties & taking in all the scents of prior visitors. With comfortable & cozy beds and linens, restful sleep was enjoyed by all! On our last evening we took in a beatiful bonfire sunset on the beach with a healthy dose of s’mores! A first for my niece. Overall, with the comforts of Sundog, special moments and many memories were made with my brother & his family. I highly recommend the Sundog Cottage and I look forward to visiting again!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sundog Cottage! It was very clean, cozy & comfortable. A huge plus in my book is that it is so dog friendly! With a secured backyard & the ability to secure the front deck, it cut a lot of worries when having a 4-legged companion along for the trip. We were welcomed w/sweet touches upon arrival… garden bouquet of flowers on the kitchen island, beautifully bright marigolds throughout the cottage, local goat cheese & butter (which was perfect since I had forgotten mine at home!) & farm fresh eggs. I loved that we could make a meal “at home” yet also be able to take a nice walk to the Coastal Kitchen for a meal, followed by a Salted Caramel Soft Serve Cone at the general store. It’s a nice walk down to the beach, especially if you walk thru the neighborhood! Everyone we met was so welcoming & friendly. My pup & I enjoyed our morning walks together ea morning after grabbing coffee at the general store. I’d highly recommend a stay at Sundog Cottage and we thank, Valerie for making our stay so comfortable! We will definitely be back!

Sundog Cottage was the perfect escape from the heat for 2 humans and 2 dogs. The Cottage is adorable and so many things about it made us smile. The dogs loved the backyard and the fluffy blankets, and we loved the wonderful kitchen, comfy beds, linens etc. We can't wait to go back.

My mom, 7 yo daughter, dog, and I stayed at Sunday for a ‘girls weekend’. Valerie was by far the most welcoming and kindest host I’ve worked with for a vacation rental (and I do this at least 4 times a year, through various platforms.) The house is beautifully decorated and totally clean, the beds are SO comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked, and the attention to detail is impeccable. Also, the fenced yard with a dog door is a great bonus for dog owners, and I don’t think I’ve seen it at other Dillon Beach rentals!
