When you’re arriving to the hotel , after getting off the cable car, there was no one to assist with bags. We had to wheel many luggage’s from the cable car to the lobby. The path had some cobblestone so this was a little tough. Especially since we didn’t know where to go right away.

Stayed two nights what a mistake very expensive for Vietnam. They charge a high price with almost no amenities. Food is not good and way over priced for Vietnam. Service almost none existent you are held hostage in the property once park closes around 6pm till it opens the next day 6-7 am. They over charge you for everything water, food, etc. what I found pretty ridiculous from the start at checking you pay for cable car access to the hotel which is at the top of the mountain after being booked at the hotel so if you don’t pay you can’t get there pretty scamming if you ask me. I never go back. The park is impressive and worth a day visit maybe a one night stay once.

The refrigerator did not cool and they came to replace it and the new one did not coole ither. The air con did not cool either, we were there 3 days and it went from 21 C to 19 C We had it set at 16 C When we called the front desk there was a language barrier that was frustrating ,not that they did not want to help it was the language.

Update: I appreciate the update from the hotel. I agree that room expectations should be communicated more clearly—especially since our room was located in the “basement” and required additional, unexplained steps to manage the temperature. That said, I value the hotel’s response and commitment to ongoing improvement. The staff, from the hotel to the restaurants, have been excellent. A special thanks goes to the team for helping my son recover his newly lost Galaxy phone—kudos for that! While I was able to cool the room by opening the door for a while, the portable unit provided did not have an AC function and wasn’t effective. I did call the lobby and was told someone would come to assist, but unfortunately no one arrived. Overall, I’ll overlook this for now given the staff’s efforts and hospitality, but clearer communication and more effective room temperature solutions would make the experience even better. Original review: Probably the worst hotel stay I’ve experienced. They advertise 4 stars and charge accordingly, but the room felt closer to 2 stars. The biggest issue was the heat—no HVAC controls, just outdated standalone heater and AC units. We had to call for service in the middle of the night because the room overheated. On top of that, our ‘family room with Mountain View’ was on the ground floor right along the pathway. There was no real balcony and absolutely no view unless you stepped out onto the path to find one. Definitely not a place I’d return to.

Pros: We enjoyed a peaceful, breezy night in the beautifully recreated French village. The check-in process was seamless, and the discount on the cable car tickets was a nice perk. Cons: It was disappointing, it felt more like a basic dormitory than a 4-star resort. Our room was cramped with four bunk beds, a desk, and a chair. There were no outlets near the bathroom mirror for a hair dryer, so I had to use the outlet by the tea kettle instead, and there was no proper mirror nearby while drying or styling hair, which was inconvenient. Although, the hotel provided a portable fan to help regulate the AC temperature, the food was consistently mediocre across all venues, and the village completely shuts down after 9 PM. Unless you are desperate for the "quiet" hours, a day trip is a much better value.

Great breakfast buffet. Bellboys are great. Thats all for the price I paid. Room need to be remodeled. Too dusty underneath the bed, so many things break in the room. There are only 3 lines for check-in before cable car while there are groups of tourists to handle, took 40’ in line for a line of 3. And another room check when arrived, too many steps

We had one of the most stressful hotel experiences here, and what made it worse was how poorly the situation was handled. On our first night, we were assigned two rooms: 3205 and 3112. Room 3205 was perfectly fine, but when we went to access Room 3112, the key card did not work. Moments later, a guest opened the door from inside and informed us that they were currently staying in that room. This means the hotel assigned us a room that was already occupied, which is a serious breach of privacy and security. We immediately returned to the front desk to report the issue. Instead of resolving it promptly, we were asked to wait around 20 minutes while they “looked for a room,” eventually giving us a different one (3118). No apology was given at that time. The next day, when we requested our key for the second night, the situation escalated further. A manager confronted us and attempted to show us footage of Room 3118 to “prove” that it was not occupied—completely missing the point. Our issue was never with 3118, but with the original room 3112 that they assigned to us. Despite explaining this clearly, the manager insisted that we must have misread the key card, which is simply not true. It was clearly labeled 3112, and we would not have encountered another guest otherwise. What is most disappointing is the complete lack of accountability. Not only was there a serious operational mistake, but the staff chose to shift the blame onto us rather than acknowledge the error or offer

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL BEFORE READING. This is a review from a Da Nang Local who has stayed in this hotel 5 times. Everytime, it gets worse. But this was the worst by FAR. What you see on Hotels.com is super-outdated, and a bait and switch. Some rooms are NOT in the main hotel but a ghost hotel about a half-a-mile away with ZERO staff and a designated breakfast area that is 2/10 compared to what is offered in the main hotel. The Family rooms, specifically, are totally different from what you see, dirty, old, and without AC you control. The ways are stained with who knows what. NO COUCH. It's as if you are literally in a temporary prison holding cell...for $300 USD. REFUSE to eat in the "other" breakfast hall. Go to the main hotel and eat there. The selection is x5 as good and the atmposphere is x20 what youll find in this military mess hall they set up. Shame on Mercure for being this greedy. Sold out all year and ZERO upgrades? No staff? No communication? This should feel like a 5-star hotel for the $ spent/and made, but instead it is quite literally one of the worst hotels in all of Da Nang. I would skip Ba Na Hills altogether, as it has gone way downhill...but if you MUST go, NEVER stay here.
