Good location, but does it meet your needs?

A comfortable place to stay, with a few caveats... The rooms are big, and are maintained well. The location is very good, with easy access to the night market and many restaurants. The price is very modest considering the location and amenities. However... 1. The street is heavily traveled with big tour buses, and the frequent rumbling gets annoying. 2. The front desk and doors close at 11:30, so late-night activity is not an option. 3. The staff is cordial enough, but almost no English is spoken. The hotel seems to be a small, family business; I wonder if management changed in the last few months? 4. There is a fitness center on the top floor (with a nice view), but equipment is minimal, and the floor desperately needs cleaning or replacement. A couple exercise mats would make floor exercises a lot more comfortable. In summary, I don't regret my visit, but better values are available nearby.

Extra charges: I arrived in DaLat in the early morning ahead of the check in time and went to the hotel to drop off my (small) bag. Receptionist did not seem to speak any English, didn’t say anything at all and handed me room keys when I showed my Hotels.com fully paid booking. I thought great, early check-in. I showered, unpacked a few things and headed out to a day tour. I returned in the evening, and was shocked that someone else’s luggage/belongings were sprawled across my room while mine was nowhere to be seen. I checked I was in the correct room and enquired at the front desk; my belongings had been relocated to another room. While nothing was missing, only upon check out (next morning) was I told that I had to pay another VND 400k (equiv. ~70-80% of 1 night stay) in addition to what I had already paid via Hotels.com. That was because of the “early check-in room” I used. I don’t think the staff were out to ‘cheat’ my money, but the experience and inability to communicate this was incredibly frustrating. I would have gladly not taken their day use room and if need be, book a more premium/ expensive hotel which tends to allow a free early check-in, if available. Towels and sheets were clean. Location is close to the city centre. Be prepared to be awoken from 5am by the blaring horns of tour buses (not specific to this hotel) anywhere near the city centre. Would recommend staying further from city centre (if you can get a car/bike) to full enjoy the beauty of this town

lukewarm praise

Very pleasant staff, but not a lot of English spoken - could organise a very early morning shuttle bus to the airport though (40,000 dong vs 175,000 in a taxi). Room was large, clean and had a balcony and a clean bathroom however water pressure was always low and water temperature was lukewarm. Not that it would be an ongoing problem but next door was being renovated and construction work went on noisily until about 10 pm each night. Free coffee in reception was very good.

We had a great stay, hotel was convenient to the night market and the lake. Friendly helpful staff, attentive and ready to help. Bright clean room, small bathroom, but certainly adequate. Great price, would recommend.

Weekend trip to dalat

The room was great and spacious, but it gets quite noisy at night due to some party location nearby, I was getting awake multiple times at night. It is quite strategic located within walking distance to the Dalat market and local restaurants nearby.

A pleasant place to stay.

We only had 2 days in Dalat. The hotel has its own roasting coffee beans so the coffee was awesome. The staff was friendly and attentive. They always helped solving problems quickly. They were helpful in finding us ride to go close or far out of town. The hotel and Dalat were pleasant. I'd go back, and I recommended it to whoever likes comfortable hotel without the luxury touch.

A budget hotel with unsanitary toilet practices.

This hotel caters for the locals as the reception speaks limited English. There are no safes in the room and a single safe at the reception - no safe deposit boxes. It is forbidden to throw toilet paper in the toilet bowls but to throw them in a bin provided - highly unsanitary. The hotel is noisy as guest move the furniture at night and slam their doors. Water is chargeable. The light switches need to be discovered. The rooms were spacious and two queen size beds were provided.

Was there for a weekend getaway

The hotel location is great and the room was exactly as described. The beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly and professional. They helped arrange a motorcycle rental and provided some tips and recommendations about the area. They even have a basic gym upstairs to keep up with your training routine. A great small hotel!

Nice hotel for the price, in a good location. Really close to good restaurants and bars. We extended our stay another night without a problem and the staff were helpful in ordering a taxi to the airport. Room was really comfortable and clean, however it was a bit loud with noise coming from the street below, and we couldn't get our overhead fan to work.

Too relaxed staff

The location of this hotel was good but there was no real customer service provided. The room had potential to be lovely and looked clean at first glance but actually the areas that didn't first meet the eye were covered in dust and the bins were not emptied everyday. Overall our stay was enjoyable due to the location of the hotel but the poor customer service definitely dampened the overall experience.

Basic hotel but close to the centre of town. Room had 2 double beds but one of our windows was into the gym so only had a small side window. Shower was terrible.
