In a green and bucolic environment, 20 minutes from the City of Carcassonne (access to Carcassonne by a very good road) and 1 hour from the sea, on the edge of the Haut-Languedoc Natural Park, our chalet will allow you to benefit from a calm rest, to visit the great sites of the Cathar country (castle of Saissac and castles of Lastours at 10min) or to spend more sporting holidays in a preserved nature.
Furnished and gently decorated by Colette, you can enjoy the veranda or the fireplace depending on the season.
Our large lot will allow children to play freely around the chalet. Riders can come with their horses, a grassy meadow will also welcome them. The nearby equestrian center (100m away) will allow you to learn horse riding or to bring the children to see the horses and take pony rides.
Many hiking trails start from the chalet, for all practitioners: hiking, mountain biking, horse riding. We can provide you with IGN maps and provide you with hiking routes. (5 star circuits are available.)
You will also be close to the source of the Canal du Midi, its water supply channel and several lakes.
The small picturesque village of Cuxac Cabardès is 5 minutes by the fresh river Dure, you will find all the amenities: bakery, grocery store, delicatessen, petrol, café-restaurant, pharmacy, doctor, garage,

Gîte pas propre à l’arrivée surtout la douche. Il n’y a pas 2 chambres mais 1 chambre et une mezzanine. Mezzanine non adaptée aux enfants, car accès dangereux. Plaque de cuisson totalement vétuste et dangereuse. Salle de bain très très petite donc difficile si on est 6 personnes. Propriétaire agréable.

Hemos pasado cuatro dias increibles de relax, sitio super tranquilo en la montaña, casita muy acogedora con todo lo necesario, y pueblo a dos minutos. Sin duda repetiremos!!

petite maison tres agreable et bien équipée nous etions entoures de chevaux et de campagne le village de Cuxac à 1km et Mazamet une ville beaucoup plus grande avec les commerces Des petits villages atypiques et tres beaux ( très reposant ) proche de Carcasonnne la cite Medievale qui est majestueuse et animee Proche de Limoux petite ville sympathique ou nous avons savoure le Cremant et la blanquette de Limoux Proche de Narbonne grande Ville est accuellement très animee Proche de Castelnaudary petite ville en fête nous avons dégusté un cassoulet sur le Canal d Midi Nous sommes très content de notre sejour de 4 jours Nous vous conseillons ses destinations A refaire!!!

Séjour cuxac

Le gîte est sympa et bien placé. C'est central pour se promener dans la région. Il serait bon de prévoir un ventilateur car extrêmement chaud même dans la maison . La salle de bain est un peu petite mais fonctionnelle.

Cadre tranquille et bien situé pour découvrir la région de Carcassonne

Logement ancien mais fonctionnel. Le propriétaire est de bon conseil sur les sites à visiter. Situé dans un cadre tranquille en pleine nature dans la région des Montagnes Noires. Idéal pour les amoureux des chevaux. Possibilité de promenades équestres sur place. Les enfants ont pu profiter à loisir des extérieurs et des chevaux. Carcassonne est à environ 25 minutes. Lacs de baignade à proximité. On a apprécié le lac de Montagnès à 20 min très bien équipé pour les enfants. La situation du gîte sur les hauteurs de Cuxac nous a aussi apporté air et fraîcheur pendant cette semaine très chaude. Attention à l accessibilité des lits situés sur la mezzanine pour les enfants en bas âge. Pour les notres 7 et 10 ans aucun problème.

Au cœur du centre équestre

Idéal pour les enfants ( et adultes )qui aiment les chevaux. Ils ont passés leur temps dehors. Lieu à proximité des lacs et de Carcassonne. Dommage que le gîte ne soit pas plus agréable ( Etat des lieux moyen, ménage à refaire à l arrivée et logement ancien) Attention à la présence de frelons possible.

Super vacances entre amis !

Gérant super sympa et arrangeant ! La propriété était propre, draps et serviettes nickels. De supers coins aux alentours pour des randonnées, et le gîte est juste à côté du centre équestre donc on voyait les chevaux en nous levant. On a aussi fait une ballade à cheval et les propriétaires du centre équestre sont super sympas. Petite remarque si vous venez nombreux, nous étions 6 et on manquait un peu d'intimité car le canapé lit et les deux petits lits sont dans la même pièce (salon et mezzanine), mais en dehors de ça séjour parfait !

Nice environment!

The environment is quite nice. It is in a equestrian park so there is a direct contact with the horses and the forest. The cottage is a bit small and would need a bit of refurbishment in general but according eith the ad. The best the porch. It has been lovely to take the breakfast there every morning. However the bathroom and the kitchen are small. This cottage is fine for short stances. The owner wad kind and helpful when there was a problem with the water supply. Only one remark the communication was a bit difficult before the entry.
