Staff was terrific, room was fine except that it was not the room that I reserved and paid for. Had reserved, and paid for, a room with two king beds. Upon checking in though, I was told that all of those rooms had been taken and all that was available was rooms with queen beds. Staff was apologetic, but not happy that I did not receive the room that I paid for.

This is a no frills spot that’s close to the manatee swim we were doing. The rooms are a bit outdated with some peeling wood on the doors and scratches on the tub, but it’s a clean and comfortable room for an overnight stay. The breakfast does the trick if you need something fast, but I wouldn’t say it’s out of this world. Biscuits and gravy were yummy though. What really sets this hotel apart is the kind staff. This is the second time I’ve stayed here, and I appreciate the warmth and flexibility of the staff. I was really impressed by Tatum, who took such great care of us. Educated us on our IHG Rewards and was kind enough to schedule a late checkout so we could shower after our swim. Overall, I’d stay here again.
