Plantation is a comfortable, reasonably priced property on the island. It is walkable to some things, and a short drive to others. We have stayed here on multiple occasions and would not hesitate to stay here again. This is not to say it is perfect - there are minor things that sometimes need to be fixed/improved - but overall it is a good pick. (For example, on our most recent stay, the desk chair was broken, the tv was set to some sort of visually impaired mode which spoke loudly every time we changed the channel or volume, and the breakfast had no fruit and some issues with crowds and stocking. Last time, the ice machine was intermittently working and we had to ask them to heat the hot tub, etc.)

Staff was super friendly/helpful. Room clean but a little rough (nicks, chips, etc.). Nevertheless, we had a very good experience. No major complaints. Very close to beach, restaurants, etc.

Bad mattress and dirty feet

It was good, didn't sleep well the mattress has big indention it from people sleeping on them. They need new mattress !!!! The floor was very dirty not by the eye but walk barefooted on it your feet was big time very brown !! Quiet place to stay

Highly recommend staying elsewhere. If for whatever reason you must stay here, take photos of all of the broken and damaged areas in your room at check in and take a video of your entire room at checkout. The room we stayed in had a broken pipe in the kitchenette. I informed front desk of this at check in and they said maintenance would be by. They never came. I didn’t feel like spending my vacation nagging maintenance requests so I left it as it was and tried to enjoy myself. On checkout they fined me hundreds and insisted there was never a maintenance request and I had damaged the room. Have never had an issue even similar to this with other hotels. Horrible service, horrible musty hotel rooms. Mattresses hard and springs loud, bottoms of the tubs rusted out. Only nice thing I can say is the shower had good water pressure. The pool appears well maintained but is also in constant shade and is always cold. This place is a nightmare. I’d rather stay at econolodge.

Good hotel and it was next to a dollar general which came in handy for items we forgot to pack. Close to some fast food places as well and not far from the beach!

The 1st room given us had some trash on the floor & hair on the bed. The 2nd room & actually all over smelled like mold. We loved the spaciousness of the room and bathroom. However there needs lot of updates. Also all 3 mornings we ate breakfast it was quite dirty. Just complimentary carbs foods with instant cooked eggs. You get what you pay for.

Rooms have gone down, broken hairdryer, soap dispenser on floor, refrigerator dirty. Doors of dining area very dirty stayed that way never cleaned while we were here On positive note all staff we encountered with were great. All accommodating with all our needs. Just time to spend a little money on the place and cleaned it up some.

We enjoyed our stay . Very peaceful, restful. There needs to be blankets or quilts if it’s chilly we kind of froze we adjusted the AC but needed extra blankets in the room . The mattress wasn’t as comfortable as I’ve experienced here last time there was no box spring just a tin can base that was making noises as we got in and off the bed. We don’t like the new metal /tim base of the bed it’s not comfy or restful it seems like a cheap remedy to replacing the frame and box spring I’m not a fan . The rest was nice and especially the breakfast it’s so lovely to have a breakfast with healthy protein options Thats a huge plus
