Candlelight is an excellent choice for a getaway. The only minor complaint I would have is that the ac is in very front of cabin and the bed room temperature was a bit uncomfortable. We stayed in the fall so it wasn’t a big problem. I don’t know how bearable it would have been in July or August. That said I still highly recommend and I will probably return

Great getaway

Cottage was very clean and supplied with essentials. HEB is 1 mile away which is helpful. Would have been nice if there paper plates, charcoal and lighter fluid, and basic condiments were provided. Great location, quiet and family friendly. 10 out of 10 I recommend.

The kitchen could use a few more items to make the stay easier. A cutting board, a colander and a good sharp paring knife would be wonderful. Also pots and pans without the teflon chipping off would have been nice. A good baking sheet is needed also. Don’t let that put you off of staying here. There is a dollar store nearby and a Family dollar nearby where these items could be purchased inexpensively. This was the CLEANEST place we have stayed! Nice bed, sheets and plenty of towels. Plus the washer/ dryer on site was helpful.

My husband, 4 children, and i stayed here this past weekend and it was great. Home was well kept and the location right across from Rock Port Beach was so convenient 👌 This property would be perfect for an extended family traveling to the beach. There are smaller cottages on the side so everyone could book their own little spot but still feel close together. Definitely coming back soon! 😇

We liked the location and the cottage and cleanliness. We came for a guided fishing trip. Wish we would have chosen a stand alone. Guests upstairs very noisy until after midnight. Sleeper sofa very well worn and uncomfortable for our grown old son. For the price I would have expected the sleeper to be comfortable but you could feel the springs. Definitely needed an added foam mattress or new sleeper sofa mattress. Bed in bedroom was very comfortable.

The property was very nice and comfortable. The property Manager Rhonda was great and helpful when i called her. There were not a lot of restrictions like other places I've stayed at. I would definitely recommend this place and I'm already looking when I can stay again. We were so pleased that instead of checking out on Sunday as the original plan we paid for another day without interruption to another guest.
