This elegant 1920s Spanish home has a large private downstairs bedroom and full bath with french doors opening onto a lovely garden. You'll also find a flat screen TV, hardwood floors, a ceiling fan, kitchenette with mini refrigerator and microwave, laundry facilities, bikes, BBQ and ample parking.

Coronado's world famous beach, ranked the #1 beach in America by Dr. Beach in 2012, is about six blocks away, with the iconic Del Coronado Hotel and it's fabulous restaurants, shops, etc.

George the host very responsive to address questions or unfortunate concerns. He’s a 5The home as described quaint aged home, which does have its creeks and sounds from adjoining home. The shower enclosure needs repair soon. Very notable crack and drop w slope. Water is Shared with main home and hot can be intermittent. New Washer/Dryer but SHARED. No set times and can be concern at mercy of others use. No daily use amenities incl. napkin/TP/kleenex cups so forth. Plan to bring or shop. 12cup coffee maker (no supplies) in room behind door adjoining bathroom Street parking area same or across street but not infront of neighbours property. USB pwr attached to bed frame wifi extender in room and good speed/connectionThe Street Almeda has easy access and bike lane. Little busier than some side streets but only Minimal. Suggest they update their ad photos. Some furnishings have been substituted If staying in this room. Don’t plan to eat in unless bag type lunch or fruit breakfast. Felt Safe and secure. Plan ahead leave outside light on or have your phone flashlight handy.

The host is very communicative/responsive and friendly. It is a very cute little place, charming, in a very quiet neighborhood. There was never an issue with parking. There is a lovely patio area right outside the door to the unit (in a private backyard for the residence). We were there for my brother's wedding on the beach and it was easy to get around to everything (driving) on the island. Most especially - it is dog friendly and we were able to bring our guy with us and take walks in the neighborhood. Very relaxing

The good: Excellent location, great yard, beautiful old Spanish style homeThe cons: It's on the ST and loud and the unit is connected to the house and because the house is old you hear movement (very loud creaking boards) and even conversation.

Coronado February

My stay in the garden room at George’s home was great . The location is perfect and Coronado a safe place with ideal weather, a beautiful beach, and the awesome Hotel Del Coronado. The space is one room and a bathroom with a shower . There’s a microwave and a mini fridge, so no cooking per se ,although I made oatmeal and there are so many little restaurants and also a great little grocery (Bayside)that has healthy deli food . The Patio area outside the French doors is lovely, and there are a couple of bikes to use. The only slight drawback is that since you are part of the main house, you can hear noise as you would in a duplex ,like the stairs .Of course it’s also near the Naval base ,so there are jets and helicopters- but that’s all of the island and much of San Diego.The room is quite private though and the other VRBO renters all friendly.George is just a great guy , so kind and he wants to make sure you have a nice stay . He is there whenever you need anything at all .Best person I’ve rented from in many different locations !

Amazing location, great host, perfect California style property

I loved my stay at this lovely studio. The character of the home was perfect California style. I loved the shared courtyard and having the ability to do laundry occasionally. It was within walking distance to everything i needed including walks along the ocean front. Very safe neighborhood near the Navy base, beach, restaurants, movie theater and more. The bike was a bonus. The owner was always very responsive to my questions and requests.

For what and where it is, this is a very good deal. Owner is very nice. Parking is good. In the summer it can get hot but there are fans. Nice small backyard area with bbq.

Beautiful studio with garden patio area within walking distance of downtown and the beach. Loved the natural light and comfortable room. Older bathroom but had everything we needed. Kitchenette does not have a table for two, just a fridge, toaster and microwave, but there is seating for 6 in the backyard.
