The house is beautiful and immaculate. Pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need. We had an accident resulting in a minor injury while staying at the house and even though it was no fault of the owners the hosts were very responsive, kind, and helpful.

Wow! We had an incredible week at Sunrise Shores! The listing was just as described, if not better! The home was clean, well stocked with kitchen utensils & appliances, provided comfy beds, a fun game room and a very cozy fire pit out by the water!! Communication leading up to our stay was clear and helpful. All information provided at the Chalet was helpful and clear as well! We highly recommend Alice’s property for your next Maine getaway!!

Wonderful Chalet!

Our stay at the chalet was the most peaceful and relaxing part of our trip. The place was spotless, the host (Alice) thought of every detail, the chalet was spotless, and we really enjoyed the outdoor firepit. The views from out back were amazing; although, a bit unfortunate that we were socked in with fog many of the days we were there.Would recommend this chalet if you are interested in visiting area towns, Acadia or just want to relax in a beautiful spot!

Home away from home

We had a family vacation with adult children and this was a perfect place to enjoy Acadia National Park as well as the surrounding area. It’s about an hour from Bar Harbor but the trade off is a peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable home with every amenity. Check-in and checkout were easy. We made some wonderful memories and would love to stay here again. I cannot recommend highly enough!

Medicine for your soul!

This place is amazing! First, the host is amazing. They’ve taken great care to make sure the property is well maintained and stocked with everything you need. They make it easy to communicate with them and provide a comprehensive booklet containing all the information you need for everything in the house and for the area. The photos in the ad are spot on. The location is tranquil and private but also conveniently located close to Acadia State Park attractions in both Winter Harbor and Bar Harbor (it’s closer to Winter Harbor). I highly recommend this spot. I certainly plan on returning! I mean, just look at the place!!!!!

Family Vacation

Our family enjoyed this property! Plenty of room for our family of 5. House was one of the cleanest ones we have rented and we have visited 46 states as a family, so that's saying something. Ample activities inside to keep families occupied on rainy days. The sun rises are great!! There was great communication leading up to our stay and had zero issues.

Peaceful Paradise

This was a Spring Break vacation for the kids. We wanted to see Acadia without the crowds. The chalet was perfect in every way. Beautiful decor and furnishings and everything was as advertised. And the added touches of comfort made our stay so enjoyable. We all enjoyed the game room, theatre and the incredible views. I would fully recommend a stay for anyone looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.

Amazing property With a spectacular view!

I have to say, out of all of the properties we have ever stayed in, this ranks among the very top. Such a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. The owners have literally thought of everything. We were greeted by a very clean property, snacks in the kitchen and a view off of the back that was breathtaking! We are already planning our next trip to Maine and this property is an absolute must. Wonderful stay!

The home was exactly as described... beautiful and well appointed! We enjoyed our morning coffee relaxing on the deck with incredible water views and in the evenings by the fire pit. Alice and Kyle were easy to work with and very responsive. Thank you for the snacks, coffee and hot chocolate. We look forward to staying at this wonderful home again!

Wonderfully inviting home and spectacular location

Absolutely a spectacular property to stay if you’re visiting Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor and Corea. Nestled in the Bay of Gouldsboro, it offers beautiful accommodations and views as well as amazing nightly star gazing! Alice and Kyle responded quickly and promptly with our communication which was greatly appreciated! Thank you for giving my family memorable moments in a “must”see part of the US!

Best place to stay near acadia

The house is so welcoming and makes you feel like its your own. Such a tranquil place to relax after a day of hiking. The host thought of everything! The beds are comfortable and i loved the reading area, tons of books to choose from. Thank you!

Beautiful home!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! We loved the peaceful waterfront location with spectacular views of the sunrise and the game room and movie theater were both a hit with everyone! Having the firepit (with smores included) and a gas grill on the deck allowed us more time to enjoy outside with our family. The hosts truly did not overlook any details in this home. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return!

Perfect Fire Pit

Had an absolutely wonderful stay! The house very clean and super comfortable. Loved the attention to details. We had such a fun time sitting around the fire and gazing at the beautiful Maine night sky! Would definitely stay here again!

A great Maine getaway

WOW! That's what we all thought when we walked into this property. The pictures don't do it justice. The check-in process was easy, great communication with the property managers and the house was terrific. Beautiful view of the Gulf of Maine out the back of the house and you can enjoy it from the beautiful deck or by the chairs that encircle the fire pit by the waters edge. While a much more desolate area than Bar Harbor (An hours drive away) it was worth it for the quiet and no crowds. When we decide to come back this far north in Maine again, we'll be staying here again for sure. This house is VERY nice. It's very clean, and isn't furnished like a rental property at all. Very well maintained, thank you! Easy directions for the house were left in a book in the kitchen along with lots of recommendations of where to recreate and dine. (A MUST go to spot 10 minutes away is "Me & Ben's Dairy Creme!") the BEST ice cream ever!!! They have soft serve (BLUEBERRY!!!!!) and the hard ice cream is our favorite, Giffords. We were very impressed with this house and we can't wait to enjoy this property or some of the other property's owned/run by these same folks. This is what we expect when we rent in this price range but are often disappointed. Not here, thanks!!

Wonderful house at a great location

We thoroughly our stay. The house is a short drive to the smaller part of the national park. We hiked, biked, fished and kayaked and enjoyed seeing some of the nearby small towns. The house is about an hour from Bar Harbor and we went to the larger section of the park one day. That said, by staying at the house, we avoided the crush of tourists and traffic. One night we had family Olympics with foosball, darts, PacMan and other games in the house. The kitchen was well supplied and the house was big enough that when we wanted alone time, people could choose their spots in the house, on the deck or by the water.

Well stocked home with fabulous ocean front backyard

The home is perfectly clean, well stocked and nicely decorated. Our family loved the basement games and theater. Each evening we were there, we enjoyed a fire by the ocean and watched the sunset. It’s absolutely picturesque! Excellent hosts. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. House was beautiful and comfy. Bar Hatbor is over an hour away by car, and we went both days we stayed here. We would have loved more time at the house, but we were to busy out exploring the area. The snacks left for us were a huge hit. Thanks!

Excellent experience

You can tell the hosts have tried to think of everything you would need. We enjoyed all the amnesties- fire with s’mores down by the water, movie night, and a ping pong tournament. It’s a drive to Bar Harbor but given how crowded it was there we were happy to have a retreat in Corea. Highly recommend Lunch on the Wharf!
