Wonderful views!

This was a great location and a beautiful area; I hope point for us. We enjoyed all the privacy we wanted, the owner and son were there whenever needed, and were very friendly and attentive. Our stay was wonderful and we look forward to making that an annual destination.

The view was lovely if you got beyond all the bulldozed part of the property that was in front of it.

We spent the weekend of July 4th in one of the brand new cabins and had a fantastic time. The cabin was a great size for a couple with a comfortable bed and linens. The bathroom is small but you can’t expect anything bigger considering it is a cabin, nice soft towels , great shampoo and body wash and enough storage for your toiletries items. The location is very peaceful and we were delighted to be away from the crowds at Bar Harbour. The highlight of our stay was the breathtaking views of the sunset and the bay. It is a short drive to the Schoodic Peninsula area of Acadia National Park and about 45 minutes to Desert area. We drive our motorcycle so the distance was not a problem since everything was new and the goal was to explore. Dan, our host was super friendly and really excited to provide us with information about great scenic routes to Desert Island and Schoodic ; not to mention recommendations of fantastic places to eat. We followed all his instructions and were very pleased with everything! The breakfast was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the bagels! I thought that not having AC would be uncomfortable but it was quiet surprised with night and early morning temperature that dropped quiet a I will definitely will return someday to this little piece of heaven to be away from it all.

The Inn was ok, great place for hikers. View from our room was nice. I got a call from the owner morning of arrival advising me my room would be ready at 3, that was nice. He also made a good recommendation for lunch. Continental breakfast was bagels, toast, and oatmeal (I think, hubs is diabetic we had to pass)

Hotel was pretty remote but that's the reason we chose it. Inn was obviously once beautiful, but now, it's in need of lots of updating. Old carpet, beds, etc. Managers doing a great job with what they have. Breakfast was simple but more than adequate. Setting was wonderful and peaceful and we would return one day.

We appreciate the feedback, We cut trees to open the view this past fall. Process of removing all the stumps (bull dozed?) to plant wild flowers. The view will be beautiful with Lupines, Wild Bluberries etc. The deck of the Inn has a spectacular view though.
