Sitting on the terrace of the house you can look out onto a stunning and fascinating landscape: facing you is a lava flow from one of the most recent volcanoes (only 7000 years old !) of the Parc Regional des Volcans d'Auvergne. Here you can also observe buzzards, kestrels, red kites (perhaps even a short-toed eagle). From the plateau above the house you can see the Sancy mountain range which includes Mont Dore and Super-Besse where we ski.

Beautiful country house in a great location

We enjoyed a wonderful half term break at Maison Laporte skiing and exploring the local area. The house was exceptionally well equipped and presented. We were made to feel very welcome by Tim and Jan- whose local knowledge and experience was also very useful. Our two children loved the games room; we all loved the views, space and peaceful location. Access to cross country and downhill skiing is straightforward even after snow falls as the local roads are kept in good condition- would recommend winter tyres though. Would love to return in the summer to see more of this under-rated part of France. We would definitely recommend this property to other families.

A jewel in the massif central

This is a jewel in the massif central and puys region. We stayed in the house with 4 adults and 6 children and it was a very positive discovery. The house is extremely well located in a beautifull region, close to ski resorts and the mountains. Beautifull walks can be done from the house. The house in itself is very comfortable: stove, open view, three bathrooms, charmfull furniture, two large playrooms for the kids with hundreds of books and films, a pool table and babyfoot. And last but not least, Jane and Tim, the owners, are very friendly, helpfull, and welcoming. We will come back for sure.

Un moment parfait en famille et entre amis !

3 jours pour se poser, se reposer dans une vaste maison placée par Jan et Tim sous le signe de la générosité et de l'accueil. La maison est vaste, joliment décorée, fonctionnelle, hyper équipée, rien ne manque pour cuisiner, pour jouer (la chambre enfant au 3ème et la salle de jeu / lecture sont incroyables et unique pour une location). Nos hôtes ont été charmants, guidants, présents et discrets à la fois. L'endroit est un peu reculé (c'est ce que nous voulions), donc idéal pour profiter de la nature et d'une vue à couper le souffle (dedans et dehors) et des alentours de la maison Laporte, ancienne maison de Résistants. A découvrir et à savourer !

Un magnifique séjour !

Je recommande vivement cette location ! Les hotes sont adorables, avec de multiples petites attentions avant le départ, à l'arrivée et pendant le séjour. La maison est très agréable et bien aménagée. Elle est également très bien équipée, on ne manque de rien. C'est idéal avec des enfants ! Inutile d'apporter des livres ou des jouets, il y en a à profusion. Le paysage est magnifique de la maison, c'est un vrai dépaysement !

Séjour court mais très agréable

Le gite est dans la nature avec une vue dégagée et magnifique. Il est très bien aménagé et contient tout ce qu’il faut pour tous les âges (livres, jeux de société, dvd, jeux pour jeunes enfants) et pour cuisinier. Les propriétaires sont très gentils et discrets. Seul bémol il n’y a pas de réseau. Nous recommandons ce gite!

Un séjour parfait dans une maison très agréable (3 salles de bain !), parfaitement équipée, à la propreté exemplaire, avec une vue superbe. Parfaite pour notre grande famille. Calme absolu (ne pas s'inquiéter de la route sur la photo, il y a eu une voiture par jour en moyenne pendant notre séjour...). La salle de jeu est un gros plus. La région est évidemment magnifique et pleine de ressources. Enfin, Jan et Tim, les propriétaires, sont très sympathiques et prévenants !
