This was our second stay at MIA Bacalar, and it won’t be our last—our family is already planning a return visit for the Christmas holidays. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, consistently going above and beyond to ensure we have a great experience. If there’s one area for improvement, it would be the breakfast, which could be more varied and satisfying.

El hotel es muy lindo com acceso privada a la Laguna, sin embargo, ya se nota un poco descuidado, donde hace falta mantenimiento, el servicio es lento aunque no haya gente y el personal es amable pero hay que estar pidiendo apoyo todo el tiempo, no se acercan ni ofrecen nada proactivamente. Tomamos un masaje en el spa y el baño olía horrible, no hay aromaterapia, medio sucias las regaderas. En fin, el lugar es muy bonito pero si no inyectan dinero mejor inyectarle también en servicio

The property is nice, but many improvements need to been done for the price they charge to stay, expensive. Our room was very nice and clean, but AC gave a unpleasant smell, they offer aroma therapy fragrance but that lasted a little. Restaurant had great food, and servers are extremely nice, but very unorganized. I will not return.

Service and rooms were great! The problem was the restaurant….2 of 3 days okay for breakfast, last day everything was salty; awful for dinner, made 2 tries and regretted it. Angelica gave us a massage to my wife and I….very relaxing. Also great attention from Paco (lifeguard), he provided kayaks and paddle boards to use at the lake.

Mia Hotels was a very good resort not the high end luxury property as they called themself but if I have a thing to return will be because the food!! The only one restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and the food is absolutely delicious, very well presented and with elegance and variety. Rooms are good very comfortable and with some luxury details, the property in general definitely needs some attention, we did not use the pool but was not welcoming to swim there, the hotel was pretty empty, the area of the lagoon to swim is nice and pretty, but make sure you have repellent as there are lot of mosquitoes but A LOT! In general we spend a nice time there.

We didn’t like that the rooms are upstairs on a spiral staircase that is very narrow and slippery. We didn’t like the one the rooms had a key light in the bathroom not working and never replaced. We didn’t like that one of the rooms had issue accessing and had to go to the lobby several times to complain and we like that they offered free breakfast for one night as compensation ; we liked the spa facilities and the staff there. We also like tombs quality of the food at the restaurant.

Food at the restaurant is ok 3 out of 5, service can be better took longer than it should to get a drink or even for them to take the order, not lack of staff there was only two tables with 2 guests each and maybe 5 staff members, not the usual good service you expect in Mexico. Get your tours at the town, 1/2 price Wave runners not working Anyways, a great place to relax, we ended up dining in town where you have great options The hotel is 10 mins from town, you may find another option closer or in town for similar or better price
