Owner was so personable and helpful. Reservation went thru Hotels.com and did specify that she needed to know about our arrival, but she came through. Room was very clean and cozy. Perfect stop before the Bridge.

Our stay at the Monarch was clean and comfortable. The room was tiny and faced a busy street so there was a decent amount of street noise. But the price was super reasonable and the host was lovely.

The property is very dated. The room was clean, but cramped. The mattresses were uncomfortable, thick foam pads, not real mattresses. We never saw the proprietors. We arrived just after 6:00 pm to find a note taped to the office door with our room number. We did not use the shower which was small and rather unappealing.
