About this property

Entire place

You'll have the entire cabin to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.

Lakeside Cabin on Private Lake! Perfect for families and couples getaway.

Escape to Your Own Private Wilderness

One of the things guests love most is that they never have to leave the property.

Leave behind crowded resorts and busy schedules. At Highlander Hideaway, you’ll enjoy exclusive access to more than 70 private acres of forest, winding trails, and a crystal-clear spring-fed lake. Whether you’re gathering with family, reconnecting with friends, or simply craving peace and quiet, this is a place designed to help you slow down and reconnect with nature.

Spend your mornings watching the sunrise over the lake with a cup of coffee in hand. Fill your afternoons with kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming, fishing, hiking, or simply relaxing by the water. As evening falls, gather around the fire, gaze at a sky full of stars, and enjoy the kind of quiet that’s becoming harder to find.

During your stay, you’ll enjoy access to:

• 70+ acres of private woodland

• Spring-fed lake with crystal-clear water

• Walking trails through the forest

• Kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards, Water trampoline

• Fishing (no license required within the community)

• Basketball, tennis, and sand volleyball courts

• Large yard for games and gathering

• Exceptional stargazing

Whether you’re planning an active weekend or doing absolutely nothing at all, Highlander Hideaway gives you the space to make it your own.

Comfortable, Cozy & Thoughtfully Equipped

Inside, you’ll find everything you need to settle in and feel at home.

The fully equipped kitchen makes preparing everything from pancake breakfasts to family dinners easy, while the spacious dining area invites everyone to gather around one table. Comfortable bedrooms, radiant floor heat, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a cozy wood-burning fireplace make every season an inviting time to visit.

We’ve also stocked the cabin with the essentials, including linens, bath and beach towels, toiletries, cookware, coffee essentials, and more, so you can spend less time packing and more time enjoying your stay.

Explore… or Stay Put

While Highlander Hideaway feels wonderfully secluded, you’re within easy driving distance of some of Wisconsin’s most popular destinations, including Elkhart Lake, Road America, Kohler, Kettle Moraine State Forest, Lake Michigan, and charming small towns filled with local restaurants, breweries, wineries, and shops.

That said, don’t be surprised if your plans change.

Many of our guests arrive with a list of places they’d like to visit, only to discover they never want to leave the property.

A Place You’ll Want to Return To

Our favorite reviews all say the same thing in different ways: Highlander Hideaway feels like stepping into another world.

It’s where kids spend hours outside instead of in front of screens. Where conversations last a little longer around the fire. Where mornings are slower, nights are quieter, and time together feels a little more meaningful.

Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, planning a family vacation, or simply looking for a place to unplug, we hope Highlander Hideaway becomes a destination you’ll return to for years to come.

Every holiday season, Highlander Hideaway transforms into a cozy magical cabin, Thanksgiving-January. Book early! Dates sell out!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful lake cabin. Even though the weather didn’t cooperate, the peaceful setting made it a perfect place to relax and spend time with family. The views were stunning! My grandsons wanted to stay forever and especially loved “walking the plank” which brought lots of laughter. We made some great memories. The cabin was cozy and welcoming with thoughtful amenities. Meghan was very responsive, and we loved that we were able to bring our dog. We’d love to come back in the summer to enjoy all this place has to offer.
